Ahh... Well... It's flawed anyway, because the date set for WWII is when Hitler invaded Poland, and the allies declared war.

No one has declared war on Putin yet. (Besides Ukraine who are defending themselves).

Its only a couple of months back that the US were buying crude from Russia. And now we have the irony of the US begging Venezuela
    for oil <laugh>

the negotiations are ongoing it seems. The Venezuelan president was out giving it large today so he needs to be bribed enough to shut up i suppose. If you were a cynic you might think its an amazing opportunity for Venezuela to get in bed with the capitalist pigs and really turn around their situation.

The yanks apparently take 672,000 barrell of oil per day from mother russia.

burn everything russian except their oil, gas, coal and other flammable products.

BBC have reported shells stopping of Russian crude.

The USA's imports of crude from Russia is reported on eia.gov https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MTTIM_NUS-NRS_1&f=M. You can find just baout everything about the USA online from their government departments.

20,000 on average per month last year. but that includes petroleum products as well as crude.

The US isn't going to be impacted as badly by cutting off Russian Oil as Europe is. The US has a lot of oil in it's territory, it just only makes sense extracting when the prices go up because other places can extract it cheaper.

The US has plenty of capacity to meet domestic demand if Russia is blocked. No surprise that they're more cavalier about oil sanctions than Europe is.

Any ideas on why the US has approached arch enemy Venezuela for oil? In doing so they are recognising Maduro as President which is an
    interesting climb down.

americans are playing games it seems

Russia is trying to recruit Syrian mercenaries to fight in Ukraine, a senior US defence official has said.

"We find that noteworthy that [Russian President Vladimir Putin] believes that he needs to rely on foreign fighters to supplement what is a very significant commitment of combat power inside Ukraine as it is," the official told reporters.

Russia launched a military campaign in support of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad in 2015 that has been crucial in turning the tide of the country's civil war in the government's favour.

On Monday, the Wall Street Journal cited US officials as saying the Russian military had in recent days been recruiting fighters from Syria, "hoping their expertise in urban combat can help take Kyiv".

The Syrian activist-run Deir Ezzor 24 news network reported last month Russia was offering Syrians in government-controlled areas salaries of between $200 (£152) and $300 (£229) to "go to Ukraine and operate as guards" for six months.

The senior US defence official said they were unable to provide an estimate on the number of Syrians who had been recruited already or whether a quota had been set.

    ..................

I can hardly predict that Syria ahs 10,000 mercenaries to come do the dirty work for russia. this is a case of adding 2 and 2 and getting 6. however it sounds good.

Different US administration picking different friends and enemies and deliberately overlooking things for reasons of the economy.

    Coca cola apparently out.

P&G announce a mealy mouthed scaling down of operation to things people need so apparently still selling everything to Russia.

Companies are getting targeted one after another here to get the **** out or be boycotted elsewhere.

The next company to boycott has been targeted.

Coca cola and mcdonalds have left Russia.

However Cadbury are still supplying the war criminals armies.

We all must never eat Cadbury chocolate until they stop selling to the evil empire.

Easy enough for me. The only Cadbury's in America is actually Hershey's sold as Cadbury's. (Hershey has rights to use Cadbury name and products in US) and Hershey's sucks.

I have no problem boycotting Cadbury's.

Does anyone have any contact with Sisu off this forum? Ever since this whole Ukraine thing blew up I've been dying to know what he's thinking of this. He always idolized Putin and thought he could do no wrong. Wonder what he thinks now.
