Nothing wrong with friendly banter, so long as both sides can take it. I'm all up for it. It's only annoying when people say "I was only joking" to defend their own comments but then instantly jump on someone else's as though they must be vindictive - like they must be the only person in the world with a sense of humour.
I'm happy with friendly banter - but being called a cock stain isn't friendly in my book. If you look at other match thread titles against other teams - we've taken the piss out of them as well.

It's got boring mate. I do find it quite strange you're calling me out on that when his entire thread post is an insult, but I'm not going to be petty. Let's hope for an entertaining game..
If it's banter then fair enough. Trouble is when you start using insults on an online forum it can be hard for the other person, in this case me, to see that.
It's all good mate sorry if I came across worse than I intended and I think this post tells me the follow ups were all due to a misunderstanding.
First of all, I didn't use any offensive language. Sure, I was having a little dig but it was on our board not yours. I wasn't really expecting a load of Newcastle fans to invade our match thread. If I had come onto your board and posted that (which I wouldn't because that would have unnecessarily provocative) then I would have deserved to be called a cock stain.
