And you're basing this on a feud on an online forum that was instigated by a bitchy title about our club. lol. Every fanbase has it's decent folk and arseholes.
Yep. I don't blame the Newcastle fans for having a laugh about being the new super-rich. Fair play to them. Our lot get bitter about the tiniest little things. Opposition club puts in an offer, f*cking pricks, player leaves, f*cking w*nker, and so on. I did think the whole cancelled game in December was dodgy as hell though, and can't really get my head around the Geordies' disbelief at Ralph saying new signings shouldn't be allowed in rearranged games. But whatever. Life goes on. Just hope it's good game on Thurs. Expect lots of 'w*nker' hand gestures from 17- year old Saints fans. They think that's brilliant.
The postponement was extremely dodgy. Especially when Howe set it in motion by, moaning straight after he lost his top 2 players.
Agreed on the comment above. Yes social media is my only read on how some of your fans have acted, ie Twitter. I apologize for my comment, I have been bitter ever since football sold its soul for the champions league. Money has ruined the game ever since.
If Salisu and KWP play I reckon a 2-0 home win. Otherwise a draw - their record down here is about as bad as ours up there so a loss would be very disappointing.
Ironically It's possible that our most expensive signing gets his 1st game. I don't think howe will change anything though and this 11 has ridden it's luck imo. It means you'll face an nufc without Trippier, Wilson, Maximin or Bruno Gamireas. Essentially I think our current 11 will lose to Saints then they'll get back in the side for what will be our survival push.
Playing Newcastle at home in midweek reminds me of the 3-3 game in 2004. Probably one of the most entertaining matches I've seen live and I seem to recall a great atmosphere given we had nothing to play for. 13 year old me was convinced that Alan Blayney was going to be a superstar after that save.
That cost Bobby finishing 4th and sadly lead to him being sacked. We almost saw off chekski and Romans new Chelsea.
I just know we lost out on either goal difference or 1 point something like that . I might have the year wrong. It's not like Southampton haven't cost us a few chances to win trophies over the years We used to see saints as our bogey team fur sure. Even our best sides would always lose
As I alluded to in another post we've both got a dreadful away record against each other. Gotta be only 2/3 away wins between us in the league this century.
Should be a good game. We're enjoying a great run of results, but we usually get spanked by Southampton away. Can't see us winning this one as I think Saints have more quality than the teams we've faced recently. I'd be very happy with an away point. I've always liked Southampton as a kind of '2nd club'.
