look KDB proved once again he is "worth" his 400k a week wage but being a flat track bully. Salah can stand and point at him and say 27 goals so far. whats the issue here.

Sancho on 350k a week! makes KDB look like a bargain.

man utd are as much a blight on the english game as city and chelski. thye are a blight as they are so wasteful!

This season has seen some, shall we say, very creative tactics. We've got teams with planned time wasting, teams taking planned energy gel breaks and more teams using tactical fouls to break up opponent's momentum. This weekend we had Arteta racing out of his technical area up the sideline to collect the ball to give to Saka who takes the throw in and seconds later a goal is scored. It's all a bit cheaty if you ask me.

no more than having ball boys stick a ball up their jumper or teams having towels on the side line for home throws etc.

I've no issue with people showing urgency. we has no issue with Oakley throwing the ball to Trent quick in the CF semi final.

the fact is refs won't punish people.

Tim kurl started taking 2 mins over every kick out after 20mins v norwich midweek. 30 second every time they pick a ball up... minimum. No ref stopping it.

Same for guys flopping about. if refs don't take note and punish offenders they will offend.

personally if watford were too stupid to stand in fonrt of the ball or kick it away and artea was alive then its Watford's own fault.

LFc had mane booked for clearly kicking ball away late on but there were countless occasions of standing in front of frees or pulling players down and getting away with it.

the simple fact is refs don't want to give yellows and then they will get stick of they have to send someone off.

they only give free kicks for blatantly kicking the ball away but all other forms of stopping quick free kicks are just ignored including picking up the ball and wandering off with it .

IMO some form of immediate and concerning penalty should befall these little sub card fouls.

in some sports there is/was the move the ball 10 yards forward type ruling. Not even sure what sports now have those.

I thought perhaps have a spot to which the ball is advanced that's a genuine dangerous free kick you could load the box from? Say someone kicks a ball away at a throw. just blow up and its a free form the nearest advanced spot.

It'd be a fairly big punishment if you casually pick the ball up and jog off with it on a throw or tap the ball away or jump in front of a free kick to end up facing a dangerous free kick threatening your goal.

Teams will always imo seek to break up opponents play in any way they can.

I don't know why players don't just kick the ball at someone standing right in front of them.

cos the refs have a tendency to book the free kick taker but i've never been sure for what exactly <laugh>

if refs won't enforce the existing rules why would they enforce those ?
When i bought the free kick thing some months ago quite a few people thought the rules on stopping quick free kicks had been abolished which shows how little it is enforced .

Surely that can only be if the ref has instructed them to wait for the whistle?

I expected at least some fight from MU in their derby but there was little of that.
They really are in a shocking state.

tbh, I’m surprised that anyone is surprised at how they played. It’s been ever present all year. The team is rammed with egos who think they deserve better….to the brim.

I just hope that we can keep winning until the City game. It won’t be winner takes all though, it would be for City but not for us. Long way to go before that game though.

    man utd's best 11.

I don't think there;s a huge amount of debate out there as most mancs are in a pit of despair anyway

De gea ( disinterested half the time, weak at his near post, weak aerially)
AWB (barely functional, cult rep as a "tackler", cant cross, can't pass, can't defend)
Varane (massively expensive rolls royce player who can't get or stay fit, was class in his day only 28)
Maguire (where do we begin with the "ever given" of CBs that can't turn, can't run , can't pass, can't make a decision and pulls his own team mates downa stand and head merchant)
Shaw (decent when fit which is rare, now totally shattered mentally, has pace but no positional sense. gets fat quickly when not fit)
Fred (god awful player who steals a living and is passed off as class.)
Mctominay (hard working, dull player. Can't say much bad about a lad who's worked that hard to get a game but should be in championship)
Fernandes (no pens no fun. seems to have given up totally. supposed to be a busy industrious player which skills and goals in him.)
Rashford (too important to track back now. the royalty of manchester. hasn't seemingly realised he need to put the work in on the park)
Sancho (the expensive right wing final piece of jig saw, utlra expensive, far too high a wage and no consistency)
Ronaldo (500k or 600k per week to shout abuse at others while no moving himself one iota. totally gone as a player.)

The subs are even worse. you've the wife batterer, the slow old cart horses like matic, cavani and mata, the panicky lindeloff and various other odds and sods.

You would THINK if you've two ex madrid super starts like varane and ronaldo and up and coming players like elanga and sancho could you cobble up a bit of a threat but apparently not.

I'm surprised that they didn't go off to a warm weather trinaing camp for ragnarock to get his teeth into a few issues but no.. the players swanne doff partying.

no seen it happen plenty of times . My guess is they book the taker for "gamesmanship" under the assumption they are trying to get their opponent booked .

GD will be blown away by then.

City are out to kill off sides by as many as possible. I think city are going to make damned sure if it comes down to it that they will win 9 and lose 1 and still win the title.

the GD is now +1 to us only. we have to game v arsenal in hand so i can see us being level on points but -10 on GD by the final game with city just needing stevie me to roll over like a good boy.

    City 10

Palace (a) marginally trying game. Not every... but marginally
Burnely (a) city always hammer Burnley. Its only a mater of one gaol and the flood gates open
    Liverpool (h) their only challenge
Wolves (a) a slightly tougher game this. Wovles have done alright under thier new manager and are quietly in 8th but not threatening europe.
watford (h) even arsenal can beat the owl. city by 5 minimum.
Leeds (a) city will eat them alive.
Newcastle (h) most likely safe, nothing special about them. city shoudl be comfortable here
west sham (a) Most likely thier season will be over by this game. Tall and dangerous to city form set play but so so poor. a likely walk in the park
Villa (h) a little story (maybe) of stevie me winning the title for LFC. villa won't trun up. they will be bottom half again but safe with nothing riding on it.
Brighton (h) TBD timing. again a team city would consider marginally more difficult.

    Liverpool 11
Brighton (a) early kick off so one of LFC's toughest games. always difficult, they keep trying but are poor. should be comfortable bout won't be.
Arsenal (a) a bad one to get midweek. Impossible to tell what happens but arsenal are weak defensively and lack real quality in the top spot. Is a difficult game but winnable with right attitude for 90mins
Watford (h) a straight forward 2-0 win. the owl will park the bus here.
City (a) very tough game. we threw to leads away v city in the first game, its at their stolen commonwealth games ground so it just makes it a mountain.
Villa (a) tough on given the timing. this one is not going to be easy and we always seem to get a ref who thinks its the 80s at villa park
Everton (h) shockingly poor. so will obviously try so hard to deny us and raise their game.
Newcastle (a) as its away is a bit tougher. should be a win but their tails are up and they could be seeking a point or 3 for safety assurance.
Spurs (h) really tough as our game suits them. They will just want to run son at our back 2 on the break and they beat city doing this. Equally they could be shagged out by then
Southampton (a) sorry saints fans but you will be safe and on hols and your manager can't mark a mini cab never mind a bus. has to be a win
Wolves (h) a toughish game this but i think their season will actually be over and they won't want to risk conference

when you look through this you have to conclude that should we win all 11 it would be an achievement like no other EVER. individually on a day we should win 10 of those games but all piled on together with FA cup and CL thrown in? All but impossible.

City has similar banana skins to us in places but I feel they have a little bit easier of a ride.
