There was a phone in quiz on Irish radio and the question was where's the Taj Mahal ? The fellow answered "it's beside the dental hospital" lol
true story.

 

Well, technically he was right. So I trust he won?

 

I was more West Putney, so was closer to Barnes than I was to Putney High Street. A nice part of the world actually.

 

I think I have actually heard the recording of that before. Did they give you the prize?

The Naomi Campbell answer was from Family Fortunes in the UK iirc. There are many YouTube compilations of "daftest" or maybe "funniest quiz show answers"

 

Years ago at work there was an email doing the rounds about some of the answers given on Family Fortunes. Essential reading

Sorry to pish on your cornflakes, but the compilations are from shows from UK, USA, Australia etc, it is far more likely that your radio quiz man in Ireland stole them from other shows and got people to say them on his show.

 

Don't think so,that quiz was before the internet age,innocent times.

 

I shall need to investigate further. It seems any UK outlet has it as Family Fortunes in the UK, any yank outlet has it as somebody on Family Fued saying it and any Irish outlet saying it was on your man's radio show. Any idea what year it was said on his show?
