I agree with the rest, but not the point in bold. You mentioned you only saw the second half. If you'd seen the first half, you'd say we were unlucky not to come away 3 or 4-1 winners tonight. There were at least 2 clean cut chances that should've been buried and a lot of us here were thinking it would be the same old story again.
Anyway, good luck to Stoke for the rest of the season! We shall claim this victory as revenge for the league result earlier in the season!

Looked a good on TV, not sure about Carroll, a bit ungainly, but he was always where he was supposed to be winning the ball, should've scored but that will come. I had to laugh at Pulis complaining, whining that his dirty 'slyly foul the keeper at corners' tactic is somehow legal.
I have not bothered to read ANY of the posts before typing this so.... I went to the game tonight and HOW the HELL we were one up at half time.. only GOD knows. NO complaints about the result.. Suarez was pure class simple as. Don't know if anyone has mentioned Jamie Cs challenge on Etherington but MIGGINS, the SHAMMERS fan? WHY would Stoke and Liverpool concern you? YOU think that was not a red card I do and Pulis was quite right to say as much. WELL done Liverpool and your fans were BRILLIANT throughout. Again, dozens of poor ref's decisions and just watchng highlights pen's etc.. Wolves denied a blatant pen and so were Citeh.. ref's are CRAP.. and gettting worse by the week. GOOD LUCK to Liverpool, that goal from Suarez was absolutly brilliant..
The ref was poor from both sides point of view,he seemed to think that the illegal tackle on Saurez in the Stoke penalty area was'nt a penalty because Saurez only stumbled and he thought it was ok for Woodgate to throw a rugby tackle in. And from Stokes point of view the disallowed goal would of been given 9 times out of 10. In the league game you rowed your luck and won and tonight we made amends,Stoke are going well in the league and europe so tonight might be a blessing in disguise in the long run. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Page Moss Sorry matie, that wasn't an attack on Liverpool nor Jamie C as such. Just Miggins?? A terrible tackle by Carragher IMHO that is. I saw Suarez trip and put the ball past the far post.." I went to the game" YOU are quite right a pen if he'd gone done no argument... I've just seen the highlights and you are spot on. WHY our first goal was not given I know not.. agreed, some you get some you don't. WELL deserved win and good luck for the rest and in the cup of course! What a fantastic finish from Suarez too For me, GOAL OF THE SEASON.. SO FAR. Brilliant finish.
Yeah, I noticed that too, no lawmower.. Just pure genius from Suarez.. Hope you win the Cup, if not, go win the Premier League.. best fans to visit the Brit in years. All the best
Thought the ref made an excellent decision for the dissallowed goal. Most refs would have missed that, Shawcross, definitely did an intentional off the ball block on Reina
Just read the whole thread. Just desserts for us by all accounts. About f..king time! Good on you Pottermouth. You're a tough team and you'll do well this season. Good luck in Europe
well for me on the day after i'll stil lsay we got lucky. 1. the ref disallowed that goal which was marginal but i suppose not suprising given how protect keepers are. 2. carragher went over the ball and didn't get sent off, which i personally think was ok seeing it was one footed and not really malicious BUt carrgher has form and i'm amanazed refs are not singling him out. 3. we missed another shedload of changes then conceeded a goal. sure stoke may think thats lucky for them at half time but in the end its a pattern in our season now. 4. suarez pulls a sublime goal out of his pocket to get us back into it. In the end i think I could have eaily seen this game og the same way for us as the elague game did here but for suarez pulling it out of the bag. to me things went for us with refs decisions last night and while we pulled the same stuff (albeit with a different set of players) we managed to get back into it thatnks to our new talisman. Lucky or quality? we'll see more of the same v west brom.
Ref, why is it lucky for the ref to get the decisions right? As for the rest of game, well if creating plenty of very good chances to score and scoring two goals whilst restricting tricky opposition to very few chances and only one shot on target (from an error), if all that is lucky then your glass must always be half empty. Close game, yes Lucky, never.
I don't think we got lucky, you might as well say we were unlucky against Utd and Norwich. There's always an element of luck in football, with refereeing decision, deflections, the run of the ball etc; some go for you, some don't. In all of those games we created a shedload of chances, in two of them we failed to convert them, either through bad luck, bad judgement, or a combination thereof. Last night we scored a couple. I thought it was a good game, fast and entertaining. Both teams played well, one won -that's football.
