good question, City had a week to prepare for this game against a team out of form & we were dreadful for the first 20 mins, couldn’t string 2 passes together & give away a poor goal. Is Shota not able to motivate the players ?Do they not understand what he’s telling them? The inconsistency is very worrying & I wonder how long Acun lets it go on before he has to do something about it?

Inexperienced young side. Average age is what? 23?

Hull City never fail to disappoint when a visiting team is in incredibly poor form.

    Oh well.

exactly, we should have got into them straight from the kick off & put them on the back foot . But we do the complete opposite & let them gain confidence. What team talk did Shota give before kick off as it was crap!!!!

Hull manager Shota Arveladze told BBC Radio Humberside:

"We stayed in the game and the second goal kills it a little bit.

"We didn't create many good chances, maybe one or two, but not enough in the second half - no shots on goal.

"It makes us a little bit sad but I still see many positive things and I believe we'll make the fans happy again."

West Brom manager Steve Bruce told BBC Radio WM:

"I'm pleased for everyone - it's been a long wait and it's been a difficult month.

"I would've hoped I'd have had a better reaction than it's been [since he came in as manager], but it's a start.

"The first half hour was the best we've played since I've been at the club and when the penalty went it we were always in control of the match.

"We've still got a lot to improve on but we're up and running - let's see if we can
    make a charge."

Let’s all not forget this side is still Allam assembled. Effort can never be questioned but unfortunately whenever the opposition matches that they will 9/10 have more quality on the pitch to deal with what we have.

Would love to start seeing this attractive style we were told he’d bring even in glimpses it’s either he doesn’t think they are capable to play it or the players are trying but aren’t capable.
Our midfield isn’t anywhere near good enough to play an attractive style of football. KLP only attacker who gets me off my seat everytime he gets the ball but he has to come so deep to get the ball as our midfield cannot get the ball to him high up. Long ball seems to be the only thing they can do. So may as well just play Eaves every game until the end of the season as at least he has a chance of securing the ball higher up the pitch.

I’m not going to say it’s an age thing which is why we are inconsistent because I think that’s a poor excuse.
Iwe are a good l1 side, wba are a good championship side. Peterborough are an average l1 side. We beat posh but then get found out by wba. The inconsistency is because we get found out by the better teams and can’t keep the ball, create very little. We might get a win against such teams if we catch them on an off day and we overachieve.
It’s hard to judge shota because of the fact he’s got a l1 squad. Although I’d like him to tell his 3 centre backs to be braver, at times today Fleming and slater were full backs, for me the cb’s should be pushing them on. Klp dropped into areas that took Flemings space

I do quite like it when he does that as he finds the runners who go past him very well, would like the other side to be able to do that so that KLP can start getting in the box for tap ins which I think he’d have gotten had Greaves delivery come from the right hand side.

He was shaking his head a fair bit when the camera went onto him to Merthan Acil I believe it is. Not sure who that is but he’s always there, I know he’s an ex pro but not sure what role he has to Acun.

I suspect that was the plan, but they were just better than us all over, and put us on the back foot instead.
Selections and set up didn't help, particularly Smith up front, but many were saying he should start again after last week, same with Slater, etc. It worked last week as Peterborough were poor; this week WBA were decent and it didn't work. Penalty killed it.

I’m sorry but that’s bollocks. West Brom sat deep since the 30th minute and just soaked up pressure. They didn’t dominate us.
