I've never before hoped for a boring 0-0 but we could really do with a clean sheet. I would like 0-1 but most importantly we need to sort the defence out.
Llorente - Has he just been unfortunate since joining us or is he really made of glass. I’d seriously consider raising some funds with his sale in the summer. I didn’t see the pre match presser by JM but a few on social media said he conducted himself excellently but it does sound like he is expecting KP and Rapha to leave, anyone hear what was said and why this could be read into it?
My only take on that is, he knows we need strengthening and most likely asked for assurances he will be able to do so, only to be told we're skint and the only way of getting money to do so is to sell. Raphinha is going regardless. Anyone thinking the 49ers are going to I vest their own money ,other than buying Radz shares, is sadly mistaken. Ps, Rodrigo is gone too. If and when we're safe, don't play either give Gelhardt and Jimmy a chance
the teams around us have tough games this weekend, so a point would be a good start for jesse james to build on, hopefully the massive hole in the defence has been repaired and we can use our pace upfront to maximum effect, time for us to get back to the sort of football we played under el loco which brought such pleasure and reward. the players who started the journey and got us back to the top table need to reinvigorate themselves and make sure this mighty club don't sink back into the championship............cooooooome ooooooon leeeedddsssss (sorry norway)
Morning all. The big worry today is that after having a week of our new coach and all his positivity we'll simply fall flat on out faces again. Every player it would seem has had a big cuddle, arm around the shoulder and told how good they are with amazing running stats etc. Well unfortunately big cuddles don't win football matches and if the goals start going in again then we'll be well and truly ****ed. Having said all of that the eternal optimist in me says we'll win 3-2.
I’d be amazed if Rodrigo and Raphinha didn’t raise their game today, I’ve a feeling they’ll be on fire. I think Llorente has been dreadful in defence, could be the system but I’m not concerned about him being out. Might see a different Firpo today as it could be he has been struggling the most with Bielsas man marking. If this guy turns the players and results around it will show Bielsas stubbornness was all that cost him in the end. I’m sure it’s just a few fine tweaks that are needed

No one really knows what to expect from JM’s first game in charge, but I’ve a feeling we’ll see a more solid performance, one which bodes well for the remainder of the season, but unfortunately a narrow defeat.
