Just seems a bit weird to have a problem with it to me. Football and politics are linked and it's a big stage on which a statement can be made in support of what is an absolutely awful situation for people in Ukraine
There's been awful situations for lots of other countries aswell. I think alot of people go to games to get away from it all for a bit anyway, but it seems that isn't possible now, it's always one thing or another...hold this sign up, kneel down, clap on this minute. It's a no from me.

Personally I wish people would **** off with this ****e but it is what it is, it’s inevitable. Just the way the goes these days. Each to their own. I long for sport to remain non political etc but it’s long since been hijacked by virtue signalling, social justice warriors and all manner of other causes. I’ll just block it out and enjoy the game.
What difference does it make to you? Seems to me it's just because you don't care. It's just a nuisance to you having to offer support or show it. Even taking the knee? It doesn't bother me.. It's keeping someone else happy. Too many selfish people like moaning about things that don't effect them at all. Blank it out? Jesus you'd think they were stopping the game or ruining your day.
I think I’ve made it clear it will make no difference to me I just won’t sit like a little sheep going “ah look isn’t that nice for the Ukrainians” while ignoring all the other ills in the world like a brainwashed little mouse brain The worlds problems are so widespread and contradictory - and that’s exactly why they have no place in sport.
Nobody is ignoring anything its people like you taking exception to something that's a nice gesture. You never answered my question though. What difference does it make to you? One good deed is better than none! In any place!!
I take no exception to it I simply responded to a comment from a poster on the subject saying id prefer we didn’t pollute football. I don’t believe this ****e has any place in football. Otherwise where do you start and end? One mans pleasure is another mans pain remember. Sport was always best because it was a departure from other complicated stuff. As I said I have the choice to just block it out. So it makes no difference to me bar it being in the ground and watching a load of hypocrites waste their time when we should be focusing on football. Each to their own though I prefer the flags about our club, our city, our footballing heroes. It should always be about the United people of Newcastle. Will they be doing the Palestinians flags next week? Or maybe the Yemeni ones? So many to choose from I suppose…
