I get that. But surely the point of ownership of any asset, digital or physical, is that if it’s supposed to be exclusive, then that needs to be enforceable. If the image associated with an NFT is only valuable due to its supposed exclusivity, then if I can just copy it or screenshot it, then it holds no value.

Having a copy of an e-asset you neither own nor
have paid for, is theft in the letter of the law.

Theft is enforceable in the law, by a govt that wishes to do so.
Similarly for copyright (if owning the asset also confers that on you) ,

In the electronic age. the phrase "keep the receipts" may never be more apt.

Doing "screenshots" , "image scans" etc IMHO is the equivalent
of A/V "home taping" back in the day.

I’d be interested to know if anyone got charged when they were spamming the Twitter feeds of people who bought the Bored Apes with screenshots of their profile pictures

If the profile pic itself is a low res scan of the asset,
then I would consider it as "home taping" (WUMmery) ,
and in the "spirit of the law" not worth harassing over,

Thanks for all the explanations but I am no nearer to knowing what the f**k that is all about
I have been on the phone for 3 hrs trying to sort out my business phone not syncing, and one of the last things they said was " have you turned it off and on again " my reply could get me a call from HR in the morning, I should have asked them about NFTs while I was waiting

OpenSea wouldn't dare, as that would leave them wide open to counterclaims from the various online artists who have had their work straight up stolen to make Nasty ****ing Things

Did anyone go to the London 5 aside at the Empire pool Wembley, this was something I looked forward to every year , always shown on the BBC sports night also the Skol international cycle racing was also a regular treat along with the yearly visit from the Harlem Globetrotters
The London teams would put out a selection of first teamers along with the up and coming youth from the squads, a great night and the clubs took it seriously

I grew up in Wembley and my dad would have gone to ANY sporting event to get out of the house. We went most years to the 5-a-sides and a couple of times to The Harlem Globetrotters...once, we even went to watch show jumping...<laugh>

    We never went back.

They blamed the state of the pitch on the show jumping when it was in the stadium, was Harvey Smith waving goodbye to your dad that night ?

If he was, it would have been a mistake...he'd have needed a trip to the A&E to have that whip removed from his saddle area...<laugh>

Has anyone else tried to get on the Spurs website in the last day or two?
I keep getting a "500 error code" message and wondered why it was down

Likely maintenance, given Reddit's been a bit of a pig for similar reasons in the last couple of days

As opposed to r/soccer, which has been a pig for years as it seems to be populated by the twerps who lurk on our Twitter waiting for us to concede...

After the results of the past few PL games, most things
Spurs-supporting are quite "down" at the moment.
