Frank Skinner is good I remember relating a story he was coming out the ground after a turgid 0-0 draw, and the announcement came over the tannoy Congratulations to Mr …Brown, your wife have given birth to a bouncing baby boy. Some old guy, poor sod he has had to endure this now he has make his own tea!
He’s on absolute radio every Saturday morning. Saw him in concert just before lockdown He’s excellent
This will be the first game since 2016 for me so if it turns out to be a turgid 0-0 draw then I apologise in advance and promise never to leave the islands again. 2-0 City
It was always the Throstles when I was a kid. Always thought 'Baggies' was a desperate attempt at re-branding, much like The Blues (The Pensioners), The Blues/People's Club (The Toffees), The Whites (The Peacocks) and The Royals (Biscuitmen).
Turgid performance, wayward passing, no goals, WBA win 1-0 via a crappy goal that scuffs in. Somebody somewhere is getting a hell of a lot of royalties off that script.
I know that I just didn’t realise Newcomen was any king of inventor and could be bothered to research it. Brindley Watt Telford Faraday all famous but never heard of him. When we were kids we called it New coalman!
I've got to love your commitment to hating all things Bruce I actually liked Bruce Jr as a player , no idea what he's like as a coach though
WBA have a better team than their recent form suggests - hope to win, could easily lose, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world; pass me the tweezers, these splinters are killing me!
Bruce's league record this season is played 14, won 0, drawn 4 and lost 10 - as most Hull City supporters know, that sort of record does not bode well as the Barnsley result proved - however I think Bruce will be more concerned about not losing and steadying the ship by packing their defence so that will probably mean it will be a turgid affair with few chances - I suspect both teams will be happy with a point - I hope I'm proved wrong and WBA push forward because I think that will give us a better chance of scoring / winning the game
