Must admit I haven't really kept myself up to speed on the FA Cup, and I'm mildly surprised that we're at the quarter final stage already. I'm also surprised at how few "big" clubs are left in it.
I know... cheslea and city are small fry. With southampton and palace and everton in there there is at least one mid table club to compete for the trophy before inevitable heartbreak. The non prem clubs are there so the bbc and itv can bullshit about romance of the cup. really its just us as the only "big" club left i suppose?
Man City have around £80-90m more revenue than LFC and MUFC .... sure(!) please log in to view this image
fixed. You do know they announced another series of fake revenue streams form their state dopers you can read your favourite website here https://theathletic.com/3120837/202...dhabi-and-what-it-means-for-newcastle-united/ you have what is in effect a "renewables" company owned by the same doper pumping greenwashing money into the veins of this corruption of a football club.
it is until it gets uncomfortably close for these TV stations' set piece final. None of them want a man city v say palace or everton final as they cannot big it up as a clash of titans. They also don't want the minor/championship side in the final either even if its a story. Simply put if its not a result in doubt nobody bothers tuning in. These tv channels want LFC/Cheslea v City in the final. we all know it. the southampton and palace and everton fans know it and it boils their piss. Personally I would rather see southampton v palace as the final than see the dopers in it. the procession of big 6 FA cup winners that is only briefly broken every couple years is REALLY what has dulled the competition. "in my day" a mid table side would often pop up like man utd or everton or coventry or spurs. Still big clubs but firmly mid table. since the prem came in............. Its a list of rich top clubs and TBH only portsmouth, wigan and leicester has broken that in 26 years! Arsenal, utd, Cheslea, city and us (just twice) have won it all the time. THATS BORING!
The funny part is how the additional slots are allocated. 2 of them are given to the club with the highest coefficient that hasn’t qualified…. Essentially the same thing that the whole football community moaned about the ESL (including uefa) by saying that makes it a closed shop and just a way for the big teams to make sure always involved. Funny that Uefa now announced the similar league format, with easier chance for big teams to go through (finish top 8, or get a 2 legged tie by finishing in 9 to 24) plus help for any big team that has a poor league campaign gu giving them these extra 2 slots. It’s clear the only reason uefa was pissed was cos worried they were gonna lose money, absolutely nothing to do with the integrity
People need to realise that the POWER is not uefa is keeping the voting blocks in the Clubs. The clubs were stupid enough to surrender their control of the club voting and now over 200 club shave a say and they will NEVER break with uefa as being subservient to the big clubs = inevitable lessing opportunity in future. the fact that PSG sit with this group in order to annoy City is simply politics. the future CL coming is a super league. It is good for LFC in the short term as the first time we fail to qualify after klopp leaves we are given a life line. but it is uninspiring and going to be BORING. Same as FA cup. As said look at prior winners form the prospect of non top 4 clubs. 1992–93 Arsenal 1993–94 Manchester United double 1994–95 Everton 1995–96 Manchester United double 1996–97 Chelsea 1997–98 Arsenal double 1998–99 Manchester United Treble 1999–2000 Chelsea 2000–01 Liverpool Mini treble 2001–02 Arsenal double 2002–03 Arsenal 2003–04 Manchester United 2004–05 Arsenal 2005–06 Liverpool 2006–07 Chelsea 2007–08 Portsmouth 2008–09 Chelsea 2009–10 Chelsea double 2010–11 Manchester City 2011–12 Chelsea 2012–13 Wigan Athletic 2013–14 Arsenal 2014–15 Arsenal 2015–16 Manchester United 2016–17 Arsenal 2017–18 Chelsea 2018–19 Manchester City Domestic Treble 2019–20 Arsenal 2020–21 Leicester City Even leciester win was a richish club beating an oil doper in final. Wigan beat city in a shock. the FA cup is a procession of the team close to or winning the title bascially scoping up the fa cup. its dead boring TBH as while you get a side like say palace reach the final the minute they go behind you switch off. The portsmouth final was v cardiff. completely odd final.
just further to city's mysterious revenues. 2020 $609 2019 $678 2018 $575 2017 $650 2016 $558 2015 $562 2014 $411 2013 $362 2012 $246 2011 $153 Etihad Airways Etisalat Group Visit Abu Dhabi. Emirates Palace, Wega (seemingly a post box only in london with no actual company behind it) in 2015 Expo 2020 Dubai in 2020 Man City were fined €10 million for failing to cooperate with UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body. in 2014 they did a "deal" with uefa, City’s submissions for the 2012 and 2013 financial years were questioned in relation to £118.75m in sponsorships from companies in Abu Dhabi (you can clearly see the doubling of revenues form nowhere) All that happened after 2014 was city's dopers started forming companies to funnel cash in from thier state doping process. there a huge amount of other sponsorships that could be just under influence of mansour. Nobody can beleive a thing about City's revenues. FFS they have a shirt deal with PUMA thats nowhere near the level of kit supplier others bargain hard to get.
