Very coincidental that the big sides all avoid each other but coincidences do happen... most years in fact <laugh>

Seriously though, pretty crap draw but at least it is at home. Very hard to see us going unbeaten against City for a 3rd time this season but with the way we are playing it is certainly not impossible.

The more I think about it, the more I like the draw we've got. If we lose, we lose. Losing in the QF is nowhere near as gut wrenching as losing in the SF or Final. But if we win, we've knocked out the favourites for the competition. And if Wigan can do it (twice), so can we.

To me it seems like a pretty underwhelming draw all in all. I guess most of the smaller teams have got big games at home but at this stage the preference for the neutral should be smaller teams getting further into the competition and/or chance of someone other than the usual characters winning

Sky have Wolves v Leeds that night. Not sure there would be a clash it could be avoided.

Early Saturday evening, late Saturday evening, late Sunday afternoon, and Monday night for the four ties would all avoid clashes with televised PL matches.

Why would the BBC or ITV care about clashing with Sky?

Wolves v Leeds is hardly going to draw millions.

But less viewers is less viewers, regardless of how many less. Why do it, when there are other slots available which don't clash?

I suppose the hardest tie to.predict is Palace v Everton. I feel.one of the Top 3 will lose their QF. Hopefully the Citizens to SFC!

Ides, I've just read/re-read your thread. I'm not sure if you are saying that Saints are 'one of the Top 3' (which of course we are), or that one of the top 3 (City) will lose to Saints (which I also agree with). Either way, we've got this!!!!!

Why don’t they use a machine like the one they use for the lottery which just jumbles the balls up and then releases one? That would be truly random and stop any talk of their being a fix! Surely having someone picking the balls out of a bag is very old fashioned?
