The Ukraine will not be getting into the EU any time soon. The last accession country admitted was Croatia in 2013 after 8 years in the process. If getting invaded by Russia is the way to queue jump, the ambassadors for Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia should be outside the Kremlin calling Putin names.
