It's funny how Little old Leicester won the league without the massive outlay of some other clubs, and people still hate them and refuse to acknowledge their achievements. You lot baffle the **** outta me.
Thats what just happened on this thread bluey, fo sho. not just fossie taking an innocuous comment to heart, as always, and having a 12 year olds meltdown
Nothing to do with Fosse tbf. I jusr dont understand the reluctance towards Leicester. Surely the fact that a lot of posters have a pathological hatred of rich clubs, then Leicester's achievements should be celebrated.
Leicester are a rich club, they're far richer than we were under Ashley. They're richer than Saints, Watford and all the others. Easy.
I don't hate Leicester, I supported them for their title win. I just don't like their current manager, they used to be good to watch, now it's like watching Spurs boring when Son don't turn up for the game - I believe most of Leicesters decent players were injured. I prefer to watch Crystal Palace now, and West Ham help keep things interesting at the top. Think I'd be happy for the season to end now and the current bottom three of Burnley, Watford and Norwich go down.
Yet they finished above clubs like Chelsea, City, United,Liverpool,Arsenal, Spurs etc. Great achievement as far as I'm concerned.
Sounds like the Emirates Cup 'triumphs' ... .. .but quite right Ponky.. those United types weren't wound up one little bit ... no sirrrreeeee ... ...you really should stick to pedalling aimlessly around Bodmin rather than flapping around aimlessly on here mate
Don't know where you've got that from. Nobody had even mentioned it. Not one person has begrudged Leicester winning the league and most were happy for them.
Does seem to get a few hackles rising don't it though? ... ...would be much worse if I was the type to rub people's noses in it ... good job I'm not.. .... as it is I'll happily continue to contribute to the forum with the odd reality check ... and continue my charity work of continuous attempts to explain to poor old Ponky the things that have gone over his head, each day ... happy to do that; did it for Matth after all - so can't be showing any favouritism
Yes, new owners may take a while to find. But we are in good shape, big revenue, best academy and may end up with bi debt too so many imponderables atm, it is all mere speculation
I actually think it's pretty darn fantastic that they won a title... Obviously, I'd rather it be my team every year, but it amazing in a really good way that Leicester managed to win one... I'd rather that to any of my club's traditional "rivals". They won it in a year that most of the "big" clubs were having off-years and I don't think it's likely to be repeated, but it was still a fantastic achievement, something to be proud of... And certainly a title that will be remembered for decades.
Started off just winding Sucky up - he seems to think buying success in footie only started when Citeh and Chelsea became wealthy enough to compete for the best players (and succeed) on transfers and player salaries ... pointing out that Pool and United had been doing just that for years before ... didn't hook the Sucksta (fair play) but the United lads jumped in like Ponky at a turnip auction
Is this true? We were big box office from 95, Gullit Vialli etc. And actually had bigger revenue than Arsenal 1997 - 2002 pre Roman, and averaged 40k attendances when stadium was rebuilt
how’s this thread going for you… a few hours of creaming yourself and then realising potentially (and I emphasise potentially) Chelsea could end up being more powerful than before. And even worse for you, all above board. Haters gonna hate that
