I think there may be a few rules against this... Maybe we can put someone in place like a puppet leader
The loan is just owed to one of his holding companies so it makes no difference, if he has it covered in the sale price. He will sell the debt for a pittance to the new owner and they can use it as a means of taking “dividends” when club makes money without having to pay tax.
Aye he's rich, and he didn't get so by being a fool. They way they view money and debt is completely different to a normal person.
I think Amanda has been daft enough to stick her head above the parapet and say the treatment of Roman is poor/wrong. Anything remotely pro anybody Russian at the moment is going to result in a media attack. Its like cancel culture etc. This is how it works now. You don't fall in line with the party line, you will be attacked too. Its like a weird series of cults at present time is the world. They disappear in the blink of eye once they've served their purpose. I don't think she said anything wrong personally. She is probably just wary of what this means in the future. I guarantee the PL will use this Roman thing to introduce new measures under the owners and directors test. Ones that will be continually assessed after approval. If anyone thought our battle to break into the big money was going to be easy, it clearly isn't. It won't be applied equally either. For instance the American owners will face no such scrutiny despite their countries behaviours etc.
She hasn't really said that though she also finished up by saying the also understands why action has to be taken. Of course the media missed that part out But yes probably fell into a trap
Aye but she defended him, we can't get away from that. An open statement saying its unfair treatment is not acceptable to them. So they will just cut out the bits that they don't tally and present it how they want. Anything remotely not in keeping with what they want out there will result in negative press. Look at the whole COVID charade. If you dared question it or their wonder jabs, right up until this war started, you were the devil incarnate. Now they've moved on. This is how it now works mate. Fall in line. Free speech/thought is done. Their tools for getting this control? The media and people themselves. Genius really. Amanda sees the bigger picture. She knows the Saudi ownership sits on precipice of whether they are flavour of the month. The Saudis have already said they will be maintaining relations with Russia over oil. That'll be a black mark. Fortunately though our government are in deep with the Saudis so that would have to all unravel. Otherwise there would be a similar media campaign about the Saudi bombing of Yemen for the last 7 years and the various war crimes which have led to many innocent deaths...so we have a powerful ally in our own government.
I find it quite amusing that the media are trying to switch the attention on North East Newcastles Saudi money rather than keep it fixed on Londons Russian money.
Masters said it could be done in days https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...elsea-TEN-DAYS-says-Premier-League-chief.html And Masters also confirmed a human rights element to the owners' and directors' test in English football is being considered with the Premier League in consultations with Amnesty International. Asked how quickly Chelsea could be sold, Masters told the Financial Times Business of Football Summit in London: 'I think the quickest one we have ever done is 10 days but that's not to say that record cannot be beaten. 'Normally it will take a number of weeks but that will depend on the complexity of the deal really and the number of potential owners. 'Provided that the information is easily digestible, easily understandable and gives us the right answers, it can be done relatively quickly.
