That's one thing I love about this site. No judgement of anyone and universal acceptance. No one makes fun of anyone.
Nationalised club owned by the Government Assets stripped and players sold for as much as possible to pay for COVID and replaced by National League players until they reach National league, then club sold for a packet of crisps once it has been bled dry Worked for Luton and so far for Derby
I've already offered to buy them. It's not a matter of no buyers, it's a matter of the price. I got $80 in my pocket right now if you're willing to trade Roman.
Conor McGregor interested in Chelsea. he wouldn’t be throwing milkshake bottles at the opposition bus like the RS ***gots.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/talksp...-ratcliffe-roman-abramovich-asking-price/amp/ So from that old article roman wanted 2.5bn back then. And he wants 3bn now right? please log in to view this image
He doesn't "want" anything mate, it's going into a charity to aid people affected by the war. The £3BL figure suits everyone, it's probably the going value of the club, it will be a fantastic start for the charity and will also prove the next owner has the type of funds to keep the club on top. No idiot is Roman.
Yes, people don’t want to read the part where he is giving profits from the sale to charity. that’s some donation along with not wanting loans repaid.
So how do you win a title that means something? Or maybe I am asking the wrong person. The slagging off of owners that plough money into their clubs is ridiculous. As long as they don’t do it as loans then surely its good for the game. Its money coming into the sport which is surely what is required. I would have no problem with trying to even up competition if that’s your issue. Just make all PL clubs work off the same budget, excluding infrastructure, and use the TV money to even this up between the bigger and smaller clubs. Any money clubs make beyond that budget number can be split 50:50 between owners and lower level football. However I suspect clubs like Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool etc would be dead against this proposal as it was clear from the European League proposal that they have no interest in fair competition - they want a monopoly.
You're only saying that coz your club sold out to a murderous regime For an example of titles that mean something, look at Arsenal's double winning teams of 1998 and 2002. Teams built on a modest budget, within our means, assembled by a manager who brought young undiscovered talent to the club and developed them into champions. I'd just like clubs to be self sustaining. And that includes TV money, Sponsorship, commercial deals etc. And yes TV money could be used to even up the competition by giving the lower clubs more of the share. I'd also like to see a wage cap and a transfer cap. Difficult to implement I know, but it would mean that 90% of clubs aren't suddenly priced out of the competition. The genie is out of the bottle now though with Billionaire owners pumping their clubs silly and artificially propelling them to titles. Chelsea started that trend, City followed and clubs like yours have now jumped into bed with the devil simply to try and keep up.
Whats the difference between a TV company or a sponsor giving them money and an owner giving them money. I think as long as the money does not create a potential future issue, like a loan, it should be welcomed. Surely better than an owner who doesn’t put anything in and then takes profits.
Because the rich owner model only benefits one or two clubs and in the process puts the others at a disadvantage. Like you say, TV money could be used to help level the competition by giving more of it to the lower clubs.
This is never going to happen. Give more money to the clubs that no one actually wants to watch that much? Makes no sense even typing it, and the clubs people do actually want to watch (as in, the 'big' clubs everyone is moaning about in the first place) just won't ever buy into it.
Well it’s never going to happen with that attitude S’pose the argument is that by levelling up the lower clubs, they become more attractive to watch …
