Not only is Piers Moron all over Twitter, but he's demanding the Premier League make Chelsea forfeit fourth place Chelsea are in third Arsenal are in 6th **** off, you condom-faced berk
They could have asked for a gift receipt as they brought it before Christmas, oh I forgot sports direct only do a credit note to spend in store
Ah, don't do that Smithy, there aren't many of us old 'uns left! It would be like losing an old friend. Anyway, I'm sure they do care, just cannot seem to find that consistency atm. They did do the double over City this season (mind you that was no big deal in our day, we were always winning something or other ) Hope your keeping well, keep smiling.....x
BBC reports that Abramovich will not ask "for any loans to be repaid". So many problems with this. Firstly, if a loan isn't repaid then it isn't really a loan, it's a gift or a cash injection or similar. Secondly, isn't the "loan" then like some kind of 1.5 billion money laundering thing? I hate to use those pathetic initials FFP, but if you can give "a loan", then not get it back, doesn't that completely overcome any kind of financial control? The Newcastle owners will be most interested I think.
Some guy on 5 Live this morning was saying that he didn't think it contravened FFP to write off this loan. Surely that can't be right? Because if so doesn't it completely invalidate the already rather lax rules? Hey Saudi owners, want to give your new sports washing venture a leg up but are worried that to grow it organically within the constraints of FFP? No problem. Give it a 1.5 billion loan. You can always write it off later. Edit: Assuming the loan is classed as an Abramovich asset, then if the loan is written off then it can't be part of any frozen assets. It's then something that can't be held against him, nor in the sale of the club. Presumably he wouldn't be able to sell if there was an outstanding loan frozen by HM Govt. Still, whatever makes it easier for the oligarchs....
It's telling that the only real change they seem to have made to the proposal is the possibility of promotion to and relegation from the ESL - which just guarantees that less teams are going to support it, after all can you imagine Ajax or Benfica wanting to join something they might be the equivalent of Norwich in? It's also telling that the clubs rumoured to be part of it look suspiciously like a G14 gangbang...while also putting us Top 4 given the various teams now being deducted thirty points
OK who are the G14? Who are getting 30 points deducted? Putting us top 4? I do not understand this paragraph at all
The G14 was the cabal of clubs who are the reason the Champions League is a trough designed to keep them financially untouchable made up of the following clubs Ajax Arsenal Barcelona Bayern Dortmund Inter Juventus Leverkusen Liverpool Los Ladrones do Madrid Lyon Man Utd Marseille Milan Porto PSG PSV Valencia The fact so many of that list were signed up to the ESL has always been suspect, while also demonstrating how in the twenty years since the G14 supposedly broke up the Eredivisie and Primeira Liga have been left in the dust As for the thirty points being docked, the Premier League stated that anyone trying to join a breakaway league would have thirty points docked, so with the current top four all being linked with ESL 2: Electric Boogaloo )as listed in the tweet I so helpfully posted with my comment...) that would put us in third place
