Just make sure he's eating the majority of nutrition from food. If he's not eating enough veg for example he won't get enough potassium which is essential and he'll just be wasting money. Essentially if you're eating good food and the odd protein shake you'll be healthier that most people these days. You really don't need as much protein as people think... 0. 6 to 1.6 lbs per 1lb of lean mass.. 1.6 is really unnecessary imo.
This is true but if 20g a day makes the difference its worth it. It's also nice when you make a good smoothie with richer ingredients
Hit 3 x 215 on the incline bench. Then 1 x 225. Failed to hit 235 which would’ve been a PB so we go again Tuesday.
Did a set of 46kg dumbbells and reckon I’ll go 50 next time. Problem at this nonce gym is getting a bench when it’s 24/7 full of Bulgarian gangsters.
After five full hard days skiing i'm pleased to report I'm fairly fit! No injuries or aches, pretty much pissed it. Back to gym tomorrow night, had a couple of weeks off. Hopefully I can be arsed.
Where you go, how was the snow? Would love to get back but the knee is my worry. Cleared the garage out and sold my old ski's on ebay before xmas.
Good to hear Not so fit my end and really struggled first couple of days so lots of coffee breaks. Only on the last day of the 3 did I finally find some proper ski legs but alas then it was time to head home. Lots of stick from my mate until he did his back in and then he suddenly STFU
Good ride out today with the lads at our local bike park. Absolutely hammering it down today, so it was a proper slop fest.
Le Grand Bornand. Snowed heavily on first day on slopes (should have been 2nd but Eunice delayed us a day) and that was more than enough. Was sunny rest of week. Conditions were great and it wasn't mad packed. I could have done a couple more hours a day but the other adults with us all developed niggles. Maybe I got lucky, but it's the best condition I've ever felt doing it, the knee didn't give me any jip either. Ate like a mad man though and so have put a bit on but the food was excellent so **** it.
Snowed all day Monday and we managed to get out there about 12-30 as planned. Think that was what tired me out as the combination of no skiing for 2+ years and snow piled up on the piste meant I was just shoveling it around all afternoon. Only the lower front of the mountain was open as well so it meant doing the 3 black runs back to town all the time. Patchy hard ice with fresh snow on top if you know what I mean. The next 3 days were just glorious weather and everything was an absolute joy. Only regret was not taking a photo of the Bistecca alla Fiorentina from the 1st night as it weighed in at 1.2KG and had the most amazing flavour. I'm going back just to eat that again
Those Nike Pegasus weren’t really man enough for the job in the end @Chief Flipped em on eBay and bought these instead. All about the outsole on these. Absolutely bombproof and grip like a mountain goat clinging on to the side of a mountain
They probably aren't meant to be off road biking shoes to be fair. Not a massive fan of Nike's but I do rate those. Accept they aren't grippy though, but they are definitely waterproof, which was why I got them really. Wore them every day in France and they are proper comfortable.
