Here we go, another wedge about to be driven through the people of Hull. Sometimes I think you’d find more peace on the Eastern Front, even now ffs.

The Sky deal for Rugby League is dropping from 40 million to 26 million. Attendances are down (I was going to say nationally, but errrr) at every club. The whole sport is in a financial mess.

The priority for any owner of City must be to the football club. The fact that the SMC has the same owner complicates that priority somewhat. I believe the initial lease terms were a shambles and it comes as no surprise that with 5 or6 years to run AP is keen to have similar favourable terms. No.

He has two choices, semi professional again and pay his fair share, or move elsewhere. Otherwise I feel he has the rugby league equivalent of the arrangement West Ham enjoy for the use of the London stadium. Apologies to supporters of rugby league, but ya sport is skint all along the M62 corridor. I was going to say nationally, but, errrr.

You could look at it the other way. If Hull FC leave the MKM, then City will have to pay for everything. Maybe better to take what FC can afford, rather than force them out and pay it all. How much can FC afford?

This sounds remarkably like common sense.

Fair comment. What can they afford? If it is just sufficient to lay down pitch markings and erect and remove posts, then, it is the the same as the West ham deal.

The sport is skint. Not my words, but an admission by the upper echelon of Rugby League. There is talk of restructuring to two 10 team leagues.

Conversely, City move out. Who pays then? And how?

Very difficult to structure a long term deal for FC at the MKM in those circumstances, unless its a percentage of the gate receipts. City don't really need the ill will generated by an argument, or the hassle of a move, but, as always, TWT.

(Not a rugby fan by the way)

The apathy or outright hostility shown by rugby fans in this city towards its only football club should be shown in kind.

Don’t see why we should subsidise a failing sport supported by ****ers who cheer on any football club other than Hull City. There are more FC fans who ‘support’ Leeds than City. Let them beg Leeds to ground-share Bellend Road.

I disagree. A lot of Allam’s decisions like the name change and concessions pissed off City fans and City fans only. If Acun decides to push for 50/50 split on expenses, it will only piss off FC fans and since most FC fans don’t support City and even actively dislike us, why should we give a **** if Acun pisses them off? Why should Hull City subsidise a club whose fans actively dislike us?

    50/50 or **** off.

How much do Hull City pay for use of the stadium?

Do we have to renegotiate terms with the council if Hull FC leave?

Can we afford to pay the going rate?

    What, you mean these bits?
Hull City vice-chairman Tan Kesler says he and new Tigers owner Acun Ilicali are looking forward to striking up a positive working relationship with Hull FC, as the two clubs continue to share the MKM Stadium.
Kesler says City are keen to help the Super League club become more profitable and sustainable in the weeks and years to come, to enable the two entities to coexist successfully.
We reached out to Adam Pearson .We become more like partners,
“Previously, the relationship between the previous owners and the rugby club was not good so we’ve tried to fix that, and we want the rugby fans to be more comfortable and confident.
We will help them to become more competitive in the business aspect,

Sorry, I can't imagine the Allam's coming out with anything like that statement and those comments!

Why on earth would anyone, including Acun & Tesler, set out for a lose-lose? Makes no sense whatsoever to anyone.

    * sweeping generalisation alert.

I grew up in west Hull, and City and Hull FC, in that order, have always, and will always, be my teams. Other than that why would you be happy to see Hull folk at each other’s throats?

As someone else has already said, whatever percentage Hull FC can afford to pay it clearly means that City have less to pay, and that’s the common sense route that I think Acun will take, simply because he’s clearly a successful businessman and doesn’t share unusual hatred of all things Hull FC.

    TWT.

Would you voluntarily pay more than half the rent to help out a roommate who doesn’t like you and actively talks **** about you?
