The gop issue is they literally have nobody left when green and her ilk are the most infamous/famous of their type.

Trump would have a free run if he's not in jail first.

    Only temporarily.

After all the dark ages came after the roman empire and such and preceeded the renaissance.

    Und?

Why people are so hang fired impatient these days I don't know.

    Always wanting instant progress.

Why in my day.... insert any rights issue here... was totally normal.

Trump is a natural reaction to change. The USA elected an African American president. Of course the racist backlash was going to create an issue.

Putin is simply reacting to change in the only way he knows.

A bullet to the back of the head is the inevitable result

    Johan Cruyff:
"There's not one club in Europe with an anthem like You'll Never Walk Alone. There's not one club in the world so united with their fans. I sat there watching the Liverpool fans and they sent shivers down my spine. A mass of 40,000 people became one force behind their team. That's something not many teams have. For that I admire Liverpool more than anything."

Even more so is Russia, and look how they're worrying the world right now.

I do think you're right though that most Americans don't realise they don't lead the best lives, etc. America still has the edge on world's biggest economy and worlds biggest military, but most Americans have never been overseas, and most have no idea how the rest of the world lives. I think the kids with their more connected lifestyles are beginning to realise it and want a more European way of life.

But I actually worry what will happen as America falls in stature. As bad as America has been about stirring up trouble in other countries and putting their own wants ahead of others needs... Can you imagine a dictator-led nation in the forefront. If a democracy with too much power causes as much trouble as the US has, can you imagine what China will do when they're number one?

China is coming to prominence at just the right time, in the space age. The future off-earth will be China's. Culture, society etc in space will be Chinese culture and society, even as other nations join them.

I wish India would get their act together and modernise quicker. I'd much rather have democratic India as a major power than China. Of course Nigeria may get their act together as far as democracy goes, within 100 years they could have a billion people if they keep growing at projected rates and China is expected to shrink. Perhaps Nigeria is who we should be pinning our descendant's hopes on.

India would be no better than China. They are held back by rampant corruption whereas China is an Iron hand

China's issue is it still has not got domestic consumption up to sustain the economy and the west are fleeing as fast as companies can get to veitnam.

Guess what. That kind of short sighted business thinking will be over taken by one fell swoop.

I see Sky Sports have had to apologise to David Goodwillie after they referred to him as a "racist", in their apology they stated they meant to refer to him as a "rapist" and have apologised for any offence caused!

I see Russia is to appeal against the football ban imposed on them by Uefa and Fifa. How ****ing deluded are these people?
I wonder if Ukraine can appeal against having the **** bombed out of them by Russia?

In other news, Amanda Staveley has declared it "unfair" that Abramovich has been forced to sell Chelsea. As the facilitator for one murderous regime she obviously can't understand how anyone can object to people just killing anyone they're not keen on.
It beggars belief that these people apparently have no self-awareness.

they do what they are told.

until the rest of their army rolls through Moscow and hauls their ex president out and shoots him people who are afraid will do anything they are told to.

Staveley should not be sanctioned like an oligarch as its clear where the money she "borrowed" has come from. She should be arrested and gone through for putin's fraudulent money and then be made pay it back out of whatever small crap she actually owns in order to fund the war.

He hasn’t been forced to sell though has he? No one has told him he has to sell the club. It’s his own decision.

Well, circumstances are forcing him to do it I suppose, rather than any legal directive. He doesn't really have much choice.
My point was more to do with her attitude towards the ruthlessly ambitious, and how their desires are more important than the lives of people. Money, not morals.

    First crack in the facade

President Putin has warned those opposing Russia's actions in Ukraine "not to exacerbate the situation" by imposing more restrictions on his country.

The Russian president was speaking at a government meeting broadcast on the state-controlled Rossiya 24 news channel.

"We have no ill intentions against our neighbours," Putin claims.

And he says his government sees "no need" for its neighbours to take further action that will "make our relations worse".

"I think everyone must think about how to normalise relations, co-operate normally and develop relations normally," he adds.

It comes as foreign ministers from across the West gather in Brussels to consider how to maintain pressure on Russia.

Putin also repeats his previous claim that all action taken by the Russian military so far has been made "exclusively in response to some unfriendly actions against the Russian Federation".

LOLs no ill intent to neighbours. what a chump.

Pile it on. We'll have to make do for a while to break this **** but thats just oil and gas and frankl the germans are the morons who bent over for thier produce not us.

Roberto Carlos turned up for Shrewsbury side Bull in the Barne United today as part of a raffle to help disadvantaged young people.
He's not starting and has been benched by a software engineer
