Ah, now I see, THAT'S why you keep calling Krafth and Murphy ****e, because you really like them and so are applying the reverse psychology thingy to ensure they stay in the team.
Although I can see a sneaky smile in your post the reality is we can’t deny it. We have picked up more points in the last 7 games than ever and he has contributed. Albeit not with direct goals.
Get to ****. Anyone telling me we wouldn't have won the same games if not more with Wilson in the team needs a lobotomy. Wilson is faster and presses better. He also has the following non-Wood traits: - Can control a football - Can shoot - Can actually aim headers - Can run faster than a washing machine
I think that's a bite @Albert's Chip Shop Seriously though he's done a solid job quite clearly in filling the gap until Wilson is fit.
I honestly don't get how anybody could say he hasn't contributed to that run. Yes it was typed with a smile. There is a factual element to it though. We've improved massively, largely tactically we've started playing 2022 style football. He has led that charge massively with Joelinton and Fraser.
He's in what is arguably the least important position in this team. What has contributed, massively, is the 3 in CM working together properly, front foot football, fitness levels, the wingers form and - critically - strengthening the defence with class players in their correct position. The only argument in Chris Wood's favour is that he's done better than Gayle would have. Ultimately, it's irrelevant. We have who we have, there's zero other options and we've picked up a lot of points with him in the team. Whilst I think he's cost us goals, he's only been culpable for maybe 2 points dropped due to poor finishing. We won the games where he was poor so thankfully he didn't cost us more.
