Jesse Marsch, formerly of RedBull Leipzig. Decent coach with really good experience. He could be a very good fit, especially with a squad that presses as hard as Leeds have done, they would probably find a bit more organisation easier physically and it could well give them the bump they need.
Disorganised chaos at 100mph is how I would describe the style. Jesse Marsch if he signs would bring a similar style to ralph which is not a polar opposite and they would be a lot more efficient for it.
Although we beat Brentford quite comfortably at St Marys, I thought that they played quite well. I think it is nice to see an unfamiliar club in the PL. That is the reason I like the early rounds of the FA cup as you have the potential to see opposition we rarely play against. It does seem alien having Americans managing British clubs. From recollection, Bradley was a disaster and did not last long.
I see Everton got an apology from Mike Riley for that non pen decision, don't recall us getting one after OT last year.
Did we even ask for one? I think we just requested Dean and Mason not being appointed to our games for the foreseeable future. Which did happen. Since that game, Dean's only done a couple of our games on VAR this season and the same for Mason.
Looks like Abramovic might genuinely try and sell Chelsea before sanctions come in. Wonder what that will mean for the club and their financial situation.
Abramovich statement - he's selling Chelsea. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2...source=tw&utm_medium=orgsoc&utm_campaign=none Really interesting that all net proceeds will be donated to a charity to help victims of the war. I mean, okay, he doesn't say what side, but it's very interesting.
Also interesting that he references “the war in Ukraine” - you’re not meant to call it that if you want to stay in Vlad’s good books…
I assume the reference was that Putin calls it “the Ukraine” - emphasising it is just a region that should be part of Russia and not it’s own nation (in his own mind)
Roman Abramovich has a large shareholding in a Russian steelmaking firm making materials used to build the tanks invading Ukraine. He transferred his shares directly to himself from an offshore company on Feb 16 - 8 days before Putin invaded. (Source: Daily Mail)
I don't doubt that Abramovich is genuinely pretty horrified by all of this. He's Jewish; his grandparents on one side of the family came from Ukraine. To hear Putin talking about 'denazification' and removal of the Jewish president of the country probably hits a bit close to home. But these are also the things that happen when you help to prop up a repressive dictator. One day, they're doing terrible things that you don't care about. The next, perhaps they're doing terrible things that you do care about. But you don't get credit for suddenly caring.
Now that Abramovich is seling Chelsea, and with our new owners looking to build a group of clubs, maybe we should put in a cheeky bid for Chelsea, and use them as our feeder club
Just seen something saying that the key Chelsea chiefs would leave if/when the sale goes through. Doesn’t sound great for us given Semmens has apparently built up a relationship with the current ones I guess our best hope is that sale is protracted (surely something of that value won’t be quickly sold before the summer?). Then we really have to go all out to try and secure any targets we might have from them: Broja, Anjorin, maybe Colwill At least make our best attempt
