Hull FC appear to be in a world of trouble. They could be homeless next season, it really is that bad. Acun has given them a very cold welcome and the feeling is he is going to expect 50/50 on running costs or they are gone. They cannot really afford to be there now as it is so there is big trouble brewing here in my opinion.
The 50/50 offer was one put on the table by Ehab. Pearson took that straight to Daren Hale, because he didn't like it. There was a court case pending to sort all this out because the Allams could get nowhere with Fc and the council to sort this out. Looks like Kesler is the 'sharp cookie' which is how Pearson described him.
I agree, and attempting to force those terms through, if they do make the attempt, will cause much more bad feeling than the Airco Arena/ Allam’s fiasco. No matter how much certain posters on here detest Hull FC there are many people in this City and surrounding suburbs that love the club, just as much as we love City. No, a genuine and fair agreement needs to be made, 50/50 is ridiculous in terms of percentage of income, anything other than that will cause huge bad feeling, and make the attempted Allam name change appear petty. Personally I’d like to think that Acun has more business acumen than to come in and create a war that City would be right in the middle of.
Ain’t it ? Why not? so if the black n white scum owned the stadium solely and we didn’t play there would they want a subsidy from someone to carry on there? You rent a house in kirkella and can’t afford it You move somewhere cheaper
No i don’t know so if city had gone in to league 2 they should pay less and less? Really? Is this hull jealousy attitude look at them they’ve got money let them pay for us to carry on our minority sport but I reckon some principles will be on show soon enough With yet another excuse not to go
The talk of 50:50 seems like a red herring to me. Why would we need to come up with a ratio of which club pays what portion of the costs? The SMC pay the costs, and they charge rent to the clubs to help cover it. The issue presumably is simply how much rent FC pay to the SMC for their use of the stadium. If it's at least enough to cover the costs they incur through their use then that should be fine, if it isn't, then they should expect to pay a bit more to renew it. If they can't afford to do so then they'll have to consider moving somewhere cheaper.
RL is in real trouble. They have tried everything to increase it’s following and interest. They have got to accept it has a catchment area in the north and that is pretty much it. Work with what you have got and what works well. Never known a sport big itself up and change rules so much. Introducing it to other countries as far away as Canada FFS. They need to downsize before it’s too late.
The stadium needs maintenance year round It’s disingenuous to say they only use it for so many games The stadium needs maintaining day in day out
They can ground share at Anfield or Bellend Road. Home from home for most of them anyway. Or failing that Gateshead International Athletic Stadium if Gateshead FC are happy with the arrangement
