Anybody think they might fit the bill? I run a 6 A-Side Team in Hull on a Wednesday night on the astroturf belonging to the Hull University on Inglemire Lane. Games times vary each week from 7pm, 7.30pm, 8pm and 8.30pm. Games last 30 minutes, 15 mins each way. I can provide FREE transport for anybody living in the Hull area. If you want to know more information just ask or PM me. Thank you Chaps.
There's a goal scorer who will in all likelyhood be available from Manchester City soon, but his ludicrous wages, level of motivation and dislike of **** weather might be a bit of an issue
I am tempted but last time I played I ruptured my calf and was off work for two months . Luckily I get full pay when I'm off sick but my boss wouldn't be best pleased if it happened again . At my age you have to take these things into consideration .
Is it worth putting an advert in the local paper or a shop window? A friend of mine was in the same position as you once and tried both of these suggestions and had plenty of interest from people about joining his team.
Yeah, work 40 hour week. Well to be fair matey the Footy team runs itself, we dont train or anything, we just turn up and play every Wednesday, its more for fitness now really, stop me getting a beer belly with all the beer I knock back on an evening at home and at City games. Then I go watch my beloved City each home game, I do have a busy life I guess, also got two boys, 6 & 2 to a previous relationship. My eldest Son has a City pass and comes with me each home game and he loves it, he's good as gold !!!
Thinking about it I was never a goal scorer nor a defender . I was always a defensive midfielder , what some would call an anti footballer . I never scored goals ,never created goals either. My job was preventing creativity by whatever means necessary . Is there a place for that sort of player in six a side ?
