Well does that highlight how poor we were, more or less same team that played us and Boro looked half descent, Wilder seems to know how to get teams organised.

I don’t live too far from boro… I got given some tickets and took my seven year old to watch them play earlier in the season. They were dire. He told me he didn’t want to go again. The next week they asked him to play for their academy u7’s and he turned them down. He’s now lost interest in playing football altogether.

    that’s how sh*t they are

and they just outplayed the side that put four past us at home at the weekend.

They were knackered after beating us, because they had to run a lot. Seen it before by a few teams….

Reflecting on tonight's game and our game against Spurs. Boro started with Howson and brought on Peltier and Bamba.
Wilder set his stall out to steal a result. Even if they'd have lost it would only have been by the odd goal. From what I heard on the radio they deserved the win so why couldn't MB do that with us?
I love watching us destroy teams but we haven't been lately so I was really surprised that MB couldn't tweak it to get a result.
Maybe the players stopped playing for him, maybe they were just too tired or maybe what he had to pick from just wasn't good enough.
Any of them is down to the manager unfortunately.
Even with our injuries we have a better squad than Boro, maybe even Burnley, and the goal was scored by a 19 year old prospect.
I think MB either didn't have the answer or was too set in his ways to consider it.

What it says to me blono is that sides that set up to be difficult to beat are generally quite difficult to beat! Bielsa says when he set up defensively we still leaked goals, but the truth is it never mattered how many nominally defensive players he picked… if they’re man-marking and then bombing forward when we have the ball.

it also highlights that spurs are a counter-attacking side, and aren’t able to break down sides who are organised defensively. Boro didn’t park the bus btw, they were solid defensively and played when they had the ball… they deserved the win against a full strength spurs.

hopefully, and it’s only a hope at this stage, JM is able to be a bit more pragmatic in his approach and make sides work harder for their goals against us.

Apologies are the easy way out. I'd rather he told us why it happened & what he's going to do about it to prevent another travesty. They're not so clever in that department, so no doubt this will indeed happen again. Often.

I don’t mind his accent, now I at least understand what the hell he is saying without a translator:emoticon-0105-wink:

But more importantly he can speak directly to the players, and they would understand what he is saying. His style of play is not that different from Bielsas. The biggest difference is that he is playing a zone defence.

I don’t know what it is but I for one is getting exited:emoticon-0100-smile

Did anyone understand bielsa even with a translator? He seemed to say unbalanced a lot but I was never sure if that was the interpreter describing the game or bielsa

marsch will be easier to comprehend. He says f*ck a lot - and in a variety of different dialects… and let’s be honest, it’s such a versatile word.

I agree with Radrizzani that something had to change and I’m sorry to say it but Bielsa was not going to do it.

You're lucky, 2p. I'm still in deepest mourning & can't see the light. I've tried. Listened to JM's interviews & have been left cold, all I heard was rhetoric & cliche. So for me, he's got a mountain to climb to be an average manager, far less reach the foothills of Bielsa level.

I think the thing that's really hit home is the realisation that Radz did not make this decision. He says he did, but he didn't. The yanks did, and did some time ago. Their decision was finance-based, rather than football-based, and now that's the way it's going to be forever. Money. Not football. Money. That's what they love. That's why they will drive a huge wedge between themselves & Leeds fans. It's only the beginning & they've stated their case in a big flashing neon sign "Come get fleeced here". Every $ is aimed at their back pocket, not our transfer kitty. Basturds!

I understand every word marcelo said without a translator, that guy had a very hard job.
The unbalanced word you refer to is desequilibrar, he doesn't mean unbalanced as in not level in the head more in the way of he can 'unbalance' a game by a piece of individual skill or a perfect pass.
    I will miss his interviews.

Well, they may have understood what he was saying, but not sure they understood what he was meaning or tried to do?
I mean something usually get lost in translation, if you know what I mean.

Having someone that speak directly to you in a languet you understand is a huge difference from having some translating everything you tried to convey.

And of cause being able to say **** in a variety of languets and dialect is always helpful:emoticon-0105-wink:
