Pretty sure there was an offside before the handball incident anyway.

What has upset Leeds fans so much is the way he was sacked. To leak it all over social media first before making an official statement was appalling and the image that sent of Leeds United across the world wasn't good. The bigger picture here is also what Bielsa brought to the club as a whole and that will be sorely missed. I'm still upset about the way this has all been handled but will always support my team when I am there, but will make my judgements about what I see on the pitch as always. I still thought we would escape relegation with Bielsa whereas as soon as he was sacked I just thought, we are down. It is up to the team and the new manager to prove me wrong, starting on Saturday.

I would say JM will have watched enough videos of the players and some he will already know. I guess players to see in the flesh would be Gelhardt, Rodrigo, Firpo and then make a call on our best CB pairings. Koch he will know already but Struijk at LB, CB or middle. Why has Ayling not been at it. Forshaw, Bate, Dallas and then how can he use Raphinha as a creator and scorer

Just thought I would update everyone on my state of pissedoffism(I know your all interested)
First off Marcelo Bielsa was a great human being above all else, he gained Leeds United respect, which we have not had for donkeys years yes he was bloody minded and he played Roberts
But we all have to move on no use crying over spilt milk and all that.
From 00.01 Saturday morning my official period of mourning will end and my support will be behind our new manager
Just hope when the team sheet comes out I don’t start with o’ fcuking h*ll no

Doubt we'll see many, if any changes to starting 11, perhaps just same players different positions

He has to start with no square pegs in round holes e.g. Ayling st CB or James at CF, no man marking and get pulled all over the field and leave massive gaps for better opposition players to exploit, if he does then he will be on an hiding to nothing, let’s see.
As much as I dislike fat boy Lampard he has come out and attacked the officials, that lot think they are untouchable time everyone took note and started complaining over below standard officials, you listening Radz.
As for the departure of MB, yes it is upsetting, and it shall be felt throughout the club, his characteristics shall be missed BUT when we got drubbed by the Manure first game of the season I did say the whole system needs looking at and maybe Amigo has been found out!!!!! I got jumped on here but let it ride, wish I had kept the quote, but hey let’s do what it says at LS11 side before self, get behind the lads hope JM gets off to a flier and we dodge the relegation bullet.

You gave your opinion and if people disagree then that's ok, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't give it otherwise you might as well close the forum :emoticon-0148-yes:

What we do know is that we still have Cooper, Bamford and Phillips out. We will also have Nohan Kenneh, Charlie Cresswell, Lewis Bate, Jack Jenkins, Tyler Roberts on the bench so not a big selection headache for him. It will be all about shuffling his pack especially Joffy, Raphinha, Rodrigo, Harrison, James, Dallas, Klich

I think we will see Gelhardt used alongside Rodrigo, or you may even see Rodrigo and Raphinha together up top, you may even see Joffy just behind the front 2. Think how he used Haaland and Minimino together. His aim is scoring goals not winning possession to control the play, its win ghe ball and score quick. We have spent too long in every game messing about onnthe flanks and wingers trying to send a good ball into someone, he wants the ball in yhe box fast and why he really never uses wingers, just half wingers. We shall see

On the square peg subject, in theory he has no need:

    Defenders:
    1. Firpo
    2. Struijk
    3. Koch
    4. Llorente
    5. Ayling
    6. Cresswell
    7. Kenneh
    Midfield
    1. Raphinha
    2. James
    3. Harrison
    4. Klich
    5. Dallas
    6. Forshaw
    7. Bate
    8. Jenkins
    9. Roberts
    10. Summerville
    Strikers
    1. Gelhardt
So he has the bodies its just how he plans to use them

If he goes with his preferred 4-2-2-2 he may go with:

    ……………………….Meslier………………………..
    Ayling……….Llorente………Struijk………Dallas…
    ………………….Koch…….Forshaw……………….
    ………………Raphinha……Harrison.……………..
    ………………Rodrigo……...James…………………

Don’t think he’ll start with Gelhardt yet.

I've been researching this new guy and his philosophies.

It's pretty much what alot of you wanted. Similar intensity on the press but it's a more zonal press focusing on the ball rather than man to man. Its alot more compact centrally which should help stopping teams running through the middle of us.

However, attacking wise he pretty much wants everyone sprinting to the penalty spot when we win the ball with attacks focused centrally. That requires a bit of guile and some precise passing which has been our biggest problem all season. It also requires a bit of hold up play which James, Gelhardt, Rodrigo struggle with. Roberts on the other hand can hold the ball up. Obviously Bamford is the go to when fit. My other concern is that teams in the PL defend very centrally and are difficult to break down, alot more than in the MLS, Austria or the Bundesliga.

One immense worry for me is that he encourages the centre backs to defend man to man in alot of situations and with no cover. That's Cooper pretty much done as he has little pace. Looks more like Llorente and Koch to me for 1v1 defending.

It's not too different. Just narrower with zonal marking. It's susceptible to long balls spreading the play out wide or up top early but I was always coached to defend narrow and if they hit a 50 yard pass perfectly then fair play.

Defending corners will be interesting. I've not heard his tactics for that yet.
