The international community, is like ok we will do this to help you. But, it´s embarassing. It´s totally rubbish the response. Even people here have laughed at it. Letting Russia have their littl war. OK. All talk and no action. THat's how I see it.
What should the International community have done? I doubt that there was a great appetite to have started a full scale war on Russia.
You are right. We are all humans mind. People can be so cruel. We all need to get along, on the planet.
Everton have lodged complaints with the Premier League about refereeing decisions that have gone against them. I hope Gino has kept his little black book updated... https://www.skysports.com/football/...ly-incandescent-over-recent-referee-decisions
FIFA and UEFA have suspended all Russian clubs and national teams for all of their competitions following the invasion of Ukraine. Amazing how quickly things can change under considerable pressure.
Well let's go back to the blatant penalty we didn't get against them allowing a break that culminated in a cross that hit Chris Powell right between the eyes that gave them a penalty to go 2-0 up in a 2-1 win back in the day. (not you BB) arteta scored it. Go back further if we can... say May 1984... (not you BB)
I guess we didn’t put in an official complaint about that Burnley handball incident so weren’t going to get a personal apology like Everton have ? We all know what will happen next - probably against us !
A personal apology isn't really worth the breath it's issued with - what is really needed is some sort of action to address the problem. The VAR system doesn't appear to work properly, probably because of less than clear laws of the game - particularly regarding offside and handball - and those are the areas that badly need attention before too many fans are turned off the game completely.
It has been stated in the House of Commons that Roman Abramovich is selling up property including his house in London. This suggests that he is looking to get his money out of the country. Quite what this will mean for Chelsea is unknown. It is little good handing the everyday running of the club over to a trust if they do not have access to his money. It was also said that Everton have also been propped up by Russian money, and with Alisher Usmanov having had his money frozen they could soon be in trouble.
An article exploring the Chelsea situation. I do not understand why the government is so reluctant to freeze his assets, and why it will not name the others that they claim will be sanctioned, unless they have something to hide. https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/...ussia-mean-for-chelsea-oligarch-owner-1492704
