Bit unfair Chilco - what personal attack? Suggesting cheap, political scoring whilst this is all going on is rat-like behaviour - if so, I think you are being way too sensitive, and if that sensitive to it, why allow the cheap, political point scoring to occur, after all, it isn’t really in the spirit of the fighting in Ukraine.

You can’t even spell my name right so I’m not sure what to really make of that

Your replies there were very curious. Seemed so be some back-peddling to a far more reasonable position that you first presented as well as some presumably feigned ignorance.

And then a lot of “I know you are but what am I” type comments as if it was a school playground.

But I’m still kind of stuck on the name misspelling. It only has four letters! I don’t want to believe it was intentional but, it is written in my user name.

This is a debate about the world-shattering events in Eastern Europe, and everyone is entitled to their views on it. That includes criticism of our politicians, which includes the governing party. I haven’t seen anyone post anything libellous or demonstrably untrue about the Tories, which seemed to be your reason for insulting Badger. And for the record, no one came close to a personal attack on Ian, just robust argument against his position.

I don’t think she is getting more than Putin. She is getting criticised for foolish comments but Putin is getting pelters from everyone. Being labelled a madman etc

Gregm1988, seriously sorry about the name spelling, but a bit childish to make such a pissing fit about it. I am trialling contacts lenses, and struggling to get used to them, I need them for long vision, but when working on something like an iPad, I’m fining it pretty hard to see it exactly. So they told me to try ‘readers’ glasses over the contacts, and I cant get used to them either. I thought the ‘m’ was another ‘g’. Can you ever forgive me?

Still dont agree with the other stuff you just wrote, but this I guess is getting boring. Im not back peddling - you wanted more info, ive been giving you more info, now your saying I’m back peddling on giving you info - i cant win.

Maybe you can get over the fact that not everyone has to explain tings to you in the finite detail you require, you seem to do it a lot. That’s free advice right there for you :emoticon-0105-wink:

Gazprom have apparently been ditched by UEFA and Schalke

And Shell are exiting all arrangements with them as well

I assume Russian stock market is going to be forced to remain closed tomorrow as well…

Firstly, I haven’t said anyone is not entitled to their views. I am entitled to my views also, that stuff posted was needless point scoring about the incumbent government - it was not helping the Ukraine situation, yet ive just been called out by Gregm1988 for posting baseless stuff. Oh, the irony.

Secondly - I didnt attack anyone personally. I suggested behaviour was more like a rat, which in my opinion it is, sneaky, and underhand. I didnt get personal to Jabbo, I just suggested he was talking bollocks, and then at the behest of Gregm1988, I expanded on that.

I didnt say anything about libellous info, just pathetic point scoring. But knowing what way the political wind blows you, I’m not surprised by your response above. Think there were some close to the cuff about Ians posts, about ramblings and other stuff I cant recall, but thought at the time were a little close to the mark.

Anyhow, as I suggested to Gregm1988, think it is best to leave it, is getting boring, and there are far more things to worry about than arguing amongst ourselves, if that is ok with you?

Well at least it wasn’t deliberate
Bah - it is probably also that I can’t understand why that spelling is a thing and have always been annoyed when it was used. Can only assume it is for people who don’t have the longer name and really don’t want to be called by that !

Clearly I got more triggered by it that I realised! Must just be the time and day

Certainly best to leave it. At risk of getting petty. One of those online messaging situations that goes way further than adults would in real life

You know what, when i was replying a while back, i was thinking if we were having a coffee or a pint, we could explain our views far easier, and would have figured it out far quicker. You never know, our views are likely far closer on stuff than you realise.

And now ive taken my lenses out, and just put my normal glasses on, I can see the one ‘g’, so no, not deliberate.

That’s fine, and thank you. Funnily enough, my own political views, which inform what I agree with and disagree with on this thread and in life generally, are normally broadly in agreement with Ian’s. However on the Ukraine situation, it would appear we are poles apart. I hope Ian respects my views just as I respect his, even though I disagree with him on this.

As for political point-scoring, that’s kind of the point of this thread, and I know you would rather it didn’t exist. It does, though, so please try and respect what people say, and leave it to the moderators to draw the line as to what is acceptable and what isn’t.

Might not have even started since I rather bizarrely jumped in on behalf of someone else’s message and then got carried away. Hold my hands up to that and apologise.

Had a frustrating and to the work day which soured my mood no doubt.

That and i still haven’t resolved how to log into this site properly on my computer (password issue whereas I am auto logged in on my phone). Replying to long messages on a phone is bound to lead to some errors as well

“I don’t THINK she’s getting more than Putin”. Sort of says it all.

I’m pretty sure my political views are also relatively close to Ian’a but also like Chilcs I pretty much cannot disagree more on his take on Ukraine

This might be another misunderstanding on my part. Or just the change of emphasis makes my statement sound a lot different than intended

I have been reading the “one sided arguments” and instantly realised that people were arguing with the only person I have blocked.
So, in light of his having made some sort insulting comment about me, would you please amend one of your earlier posts, which appears to be a response to the unnamed one. You say “Everyone values your opinion”.
I don’t, never have and probably never will.

Yes, off I go, is there any footy this week? My team is eleven players to start, opening a commanding lead by half time after which inspired substitutions and formation changes lead to an emphatic win. After which Garth Crooked and other bumdits sell the entire team and management to human rights petro dolla ublighted.

He sells our players even when we just win normally. I shudder to think what would happen if commanding half time lead and emphatic wins were involved
