Is there any way to get this ban extended? Maybe somebody dropping trou and taking a leak on Eva Peron's memorial?
As most of Europe have refused to play against Russia, I've come up with a simple solution. We transfer them to the Asian Football Confederation. Most of the country's in Asia anyway and they'll probably win some trophies.
Technically this can work, just swap Russia and Australia/UAE in the respective playoffs and carry on as normal Maybe tell Poland their fans can still travel to Moscow...
FIFA are going to suspend Russia for the foreseeable future. The IOC has recommended that Belarus also be banned.
Quite surprised that Dier isn’t amongst the CBs, I think he’s in better form than most of the names on that list. Not too upset though as it’ll mean he gets a rest.
The Bald Fraud might've had a word, as City seem a little short at fullback right now. Zinchenko's barely played this season, so it's Cancelo and Walker in virtually every game. I suspect they may drop another £100m on them in the summer.
Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold will be out for several weeks with a hamstring problem: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60793142 Might see Walker back in, especially given Trippier's injury. Could call up a left-back instead though, as there's only one in that squad.
Parrott and Doherty have been called up by Ireland. Sarr has been called up by Senegal. Scarlett and Devine have been called up by England U19s. Romero and Lo Celso are suspended, so they're not in Argentina's squad.
Which begs the question why they were named in the provisional squad Deki, Hojbjerg, Davies, Rodon, Sanchez and Paskotsi have all been called up for their respective squads too
I think that they might've needed to be named in order to get rid of the ban or something. I remember someone not being included and their ban not running down, but that may have been club football in Europe.
Gollini has been called up by Italy, somewhat mystifyingly. It's his birthday, so that's a nice gift.
