no big deal to him. medal is on the stat pile and it snot a big final anyway.

the ego knows he is no 1 and for any keeper thats the battle. When the CL final roll around (no jinx) Alisson would know he starts if we are there.

2nd and league cup = a good good season compared to last year. hopefully we can make it a great one.

 

I've always said that the League Cup is a massive cup. Biggest cup in all of football.

... At least until we win our next trophy it is.

 

I think because we were the most winners until city came along it holds more of a special place for us than a lot of other teams. May not have the prestige of the fa cup but it means something to this club even if that is less now because of the riches of the CL etc.

Found it a bit strange that all the pundits and press in the immediate post match and in todays match report all seemed to say Chelsea had the better of the match and better chances. I think they're counting all the chances that were offside.

Anyways, LFC had more shots in total (20 to 11), more on target (6 to 4) and the better xG (2.41 to 1.84). yeah Mount missed some great chances, but Mendy made some incredible saves and on any other day Mo would have scored for that 1 on 1.

 

I just keep seeing comments about Lukaku being inside when he clearly wasn't.

I think Chelsea looked the better team but yes, the stats suggest we were.

Like most finals we reach, we were poor and we made hard work of it.
