I'm hoping the new manager is in this afternoon talking the players through the new system and getting the shape right.
You mean that any concern that I have that our new manager has lost the dressing room already, because none of the players have welcomed him to the club via their social media accounts is just a load of twaddle
We were/are in freefall. Bielsa's time was up, and there is no room for sentiment in football. We need change if we're to stay in the EPL.
You mean that thing I call unsocial media, instashyte, tik crap, face ache etc perhaps some of the players can't relate good face to face and prefer this way... baffling
Sorry, I’m still in a bit of a state of surprise. What happened to MOT? What happened to side before self? He breathed that and we crapped it at the first sign of a difficult moment for him. If t If it works. A lot of people said that Bielsa turned average championship players into premier league players and any other coach / manager couldn’t / wouldn’t be able to do that. I guess we’re about to find out if that is true. We’ve twisted rather than stick, hopefully the gamble pays off.
Listened to this on the official site it sounds like squeaky bum time for Radz Now he knows how it feels
Jesse Marschs assistant is Cameron Toshack apparently son of John Toshack other staff yet to be announced
Whilst it might be interesting it's not really important is it ? What matters is that even if we're relegated that he's good enough to bring us straight back up.
Howard Wilkinson won us the title in 1991/92 and I thought at the time that he would be in charge for a Revie-esqe length era But he lost the plot and the following season, as English champions, we failed to win a single away game. Then he started making stupid decisions, like selling Gary Speed (OK he maybe wanted to leave,) but replaced him with Lee Sharpe ! IMO, we owe Howard Wilkinson a greater debt of gratitude than we owe to Marcelo Bielsa. Wilkinson, too turned Division 2 players into Division 1 players, won the old second division, and went on the win us the title. But he too was sacked in September 1996.
Wilko should not have been sacked as his youngsters were on the verge of coming through and another title challenging squad was just around the corner. Bielsa also shouldn't have been dismissed as he equally had put all the building blocks in place for a prosperous future for the club. In addition he was the finest of human beings who deserved far better than what has happened this weekend. Two wrongs do not make a right or have I missed your point. Oh you just wanted to say Howard was better than Marcelo to justify his sacking I guess.
Respectively, yes he should have and no they weren't I remember how relieved I felt, when I heard Wilkinson had gone. We improved markedly when George Graham came in, and even more so when David O'Leary was appointed manager If any manager should not have been sacked, it was O'Leary. Sorry, but you're looking back through rose tinted glasses I don't care how well his youth policy was going, Bielsa had lost the plot and frankly, I think the players had stopped giving their all for him He was talking us down If he's stayed, I'm not sure we'd have won another game this season. The point is it doesn't matter what they've done for the club, we could have won the title last season and I'd still back his sacking What counts is staying in the EPL, nothing else matters. Whether he was a better coach, IDK Certainly I'd have taken Wilkinson's title winning team to beat our current team.
