Here we go then. The long awaited game with the team that shouldn't even be in the Championship. Questions to be answered: 1) Is there any snow forecast in Derbyshire for today or tomorrow? 2) Will Derby say there's snow in Derbyshire? 3) Will Tom Lawrence play in disguise? 4) Will Rooney Tunes tell his players to wear 8" metal studs? 5) Will Derby County still exist by kick off time? An opportunity for three points here but we mustn't be complacent. I'm sure that won't happen. I just hope our injury/illness list hasn't got worse. Games coming thick and fast now. Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds
Answers to the quiz. 1. It won't matter because we're playing in Cardiff. 2. Rooney has got plenty if you're looking for a snort. 3. It's the only way he'll get on the pitch tomorrow - he's banned 4. Apparently the only stud in Derby is Rooney - at least he's trying his best to be one. 5. Hopefully yes - we need the 3 points.
Reply to the answers to the quiz: 1) Already addressed 2) Unfortunately that's fake dandruff. 3) Banned. Hence the disguise. 4) Ah yes. The dreaded screw loose stud. 5). Yep. But even worse would be if we win, pick up further injuries and ten they go out of business. On a more serious note, I hope that SM has enough players available to pick a team that can go for the jugular straight from the off.
Forgot to mention how good it is to see a team representing the capital city of Wales playing in the capital on St David's day.
Didn't really want to mention it - but I will. St David's Day will also see the CAS decision announced regarding the Sala "ownership" - could be an expensive day for City.
Contemplating whether I can make it over again for the game.... Think they need my support. Only managed 4 games so far this season, but the record is: L 0-1 L 0-1 W 4-0 W 2-0 Hmmm, what odds a draw if I do attend? But after 2 defeats on the bounce I think even a draw will be ok, especially as it keeps the pesky mutton winter woolies at bay and prevents them from closing the gap on us.... Won't be easy but as long as the illness bug has passed through the squad you'd like to think we have enough about us nowadays to take all 3 points.
Just taken my car in for a service on Hadfield Road. Presently having a coffee sat in Cafe Nero in Next on the retail park. I have to say there is a biting wind out there and it is very cold. Looks like snow to me. No ice in the car park yet. Should we call Direby to let them know so they can think about turning Wayne's minibus around?
I think you will find it was hired with Wayne forgoing a couple of granny nights/payments to cover the cost. Non-refundable.
No certain news other than SM said yesterday most of Saturday's sickies are now okay but others have caught it. No names given.
