Seriously though Brentford looked absolutely awful. I was a bit disappointed we didn't score more goals, but it's fair enough to score 2 and then just control possession. Brighton next and they are on **** form!!!!! Ratings - Dubs - 6.5 - Annoying time wasting, but stayed alert despite not being very active. Didn't have much to do. Krafth - 7 - Probably his best game. Quite solid. Schar - 8 - Solid and good assist. Burn - 8 - He had some sloppy moments first half, but altogether solid Target - 8 - Solid and a threat going forward. Willock - 7.5 - Was rather anonymous at times, but a class goal. Shelvey - 7 - Good Joelinton - 8 - Beast. Great goal and work rate. Fraser - 8.5 - MOTM - WE FINALLY HAVE A TWO FOOTED WINGER!! - Worked his tits off all game and put in so many balls into the box and set up chance after chance. Should have had more than one assist. Was the biggest pain in the arse to Brentford. Our best player today definitely. One think I love about him? Wood - 3 - A donkey. Murphy - 6 - Decent, but not much more to say. A few decent runs in behind. Bruno - n/a - Not enough going on in the game to properly rate him. Some decent defending at times, some reasonable composure. I thought it was a risk playing him in that CM role with so little time in the PL. Almiron - n/a Eddie howe - Beast
Mate it was Schar who assisted the second. Yes, Schar was doing what Wood should’ve done in the CF position. Wood was ****ing awful all match. 3/10 tops. He’s so embarrassingly out of his depth it’s cringeworthy. Two gilt edged headers and he ****ed both up so badly it was laughable. Then got a late chance 18 yards from goal and chose to pass…..directly to a Brentford player. He’s unbelievably bad. Bruno was a clear 8/10. Thirty minutes of perfection. Shelvey easily 8/10.
I actually thought we were a lot sloppier than we have been in previous games and maybe wouldn’t have won that if they hadn’t had a man sent off. Targett and Fraser worked well together but I thought they benefitted the most from the space that the sending off created. Joelinton is improving all the time - before it was all about his tackling. He is starting to go past people and is getting in good positions as well. Thought the pitch was awful - when they showed it close up you could see the grass was a lot rougher than the normal PL pitches. PL teams shouldnt be allowed to ground share with other teams or sports.
