He absolutely hates the Toon and the North. He can't hide it.... I mean we all have clubs we don't like but as a pundit you're paid to at least try and he neutral
Merson is the king of wrong. In every sense. Live clean? Wrong. Live well? Wrong. Live with honour or integrity? Wrong. Predict results? Wrong. Gambling pro? Wrong. He's just a serial ****ing loser. I'm glad he's "against" us - would hate a serial ****ing loser to be on our side.
Aye i was watching it, then Stelling put him in his place. Merson hates Newcastle, you knew it was us who scored when he went 'goal' and sounded devastated.
Cracking set of overall results for us this weekend. What a difference a few weeks makes. Howe really has turned things around massively. Only dilemma now is that do the likes of Krafth and Murphy keep their places (if you pick on the basis of keeping a winning team)?
Mate, I think we all agree we trust to Eddie. I think he'll still bring the A-Team back in, but will absolutely bow to him ; he's secured a lot of faith.
Pretty good week all told - not far off the 'best case scenario'. Only Burnley really had a good week, aside from us, but I'll happily take that with Brenford, Everton, Leeds, Norwich and Watford all losing - some of them more than once.
I'm this case they would be straight back in. Only one I think he would be more considered about would be Wilson in for Wood. I think he reckons Wood is carrying out his instructions in terms of executing his system of play perfectly.
I'd like him to score, but there's more to his impact than counting his goals. Awkward question for his detractors: Have we lost a game when Chris Wood has started?
Chris Wood is a stop gap, no one gives one **** if he doesn't score a goal as long as we stay up, he'll be third or fourth choice next season if he's still here. We are picking up lots of points and he's part of that team, that will do me for now.
Our best run in 11 years and our striker isn’t scoring goals but is putting in a shift. Says a lot about the style of play. He’s doing his part and for me he had a good game yesterday bar his finishing.
He played ok. Full of energy. Didn’t do anything spectacular but can see he will be an asset when he settles in. He is not very quick though.
When watching live I thought the player had just turned him. Can see how the ref could miss that and give a foul the other way as he did. So VAR proved its worth there.
Worrying seeing Lascelles being brought on. We were pretty comfortable then and it just forced us back a bit. I hope it wasnt a sign that he might bring him back. We look so much better with Schar and Burn and they suit our new playing out from the back style.
wood has been great. He created the space for Hoelinton and takes defenders away for the likes of Willock. You need to look beyond the lack of goals and see how the team plays with him in it. Our team is greater than the sum of its parts.
