As much as I hate to admit it, I actually like Sam Smiths The Writings on the wall….i try and forget who’s singing it and just listen to the music….it’s a very very good bond theme tune. Chris Cornell pisses all over it like.
Chris Cornell just edges it over Duran Duran for me. Seriously, if you get a minute tonight over a beer or worse, give it (View To A Kill) a listen - real depth to the song. But Cornell has so much feeling, plus Casino Royale was the introduction of the best Bond of all time, Daniel Craig.
Can’t argue with the last bit like…Craig ****s on all the others. That opening 10-15 mins of Casino Royale was just ****ing superb, the rest of the film did not disappoint either. First time I’d come across Mads Mikkelsen as well and I’ve watched a few things of his since and he’s pretty decent like!
I mean, they all have their faults, it's hardly creme de la creme cinema - but Craig's Bond actually makes you feel proud, even ****ing patriotic, which is mental!! They won't improve on Craig. They'll go with something ****ing woke - black, female lesbian in a wheelchair or whatever. And that'll be the end of it. Craig is the crowning glory of Bond, it's all downhill from here!
Can’t stand Sam Smith but agree with Crone he sings a very good and grow upon you Bond theme. Having said that the best Bond theme isn’t even listed. For me. With a close second also not listed
For me I just think both capture the film and the feeling/message of the film in the words of the song and both are in their different ways beautifully sung.
That last bond film was three hours of my life wasted Goldfinger is a cracking film. Shirley Bassey did three theme songs iirc, what a voice.
Aye, I’m actually genuinely worried it’s gonna be ****ing ruined. I honestly can’t think of anyone who could replace Craig like.
Think we're in for a low period in Bond films, like. But comes and goes, then eventually someone will come back in and change it up again.
