Yep, the reason being that Russia were dropping bombs but calling them bread baskets or something? I can't remember the full story, not sure if the "bread baskets" were named after anybody.

We should bomb Oceania & get our 2 minutes of hate after MOTD .

The hallway smelt of boiled cabbage and old rag mats. . . . Even at the best of times [the lift] was seldom working, and at present the electric current was cut off during daylight hours. . . . On each landing, opposite the lift-shaft, the poster with the enormous face gazed from the wall. It was one of those pictures which are so contrived that the eyes follow you about when you move. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU, the caption beneath it ran.

Not many 20-30 year old men fleeing their country like what the mussies and Africans do when they're under attack

The French have pulled a Russian cargo ship into port? Seemingly it is owned by a bank that is now sanctioned.

Indeed. It is up their with the other French naval victories, such as sinking the Greenpeace boat at Auckland harbour.

Think one of the French divers died putting on the mines or something? It was a bit of a **** up, but the French military aren't as bad as we make them out to be.

The French are great fighters, they just don't have an English Channel to rely on.

They sacrificed thousands of men so the Brits could run home at Dunkirk yet they're labelled cheese eating surrender monkeys

Churchill left many a Scotsman to their fate at Dunkirk iirc

Churchill did what he had to do, Papillon.

I actually watched the most recent Papillon film a couple of days ago. I think I preferred the original and even that wasn't a patch on the book. The 2nd book, "Banco" wasn't so great though.

Abramovich had handed Chelsea over to the Chelsea Foundation. Well until it blows over and then all will be good.

They were first used during the Spanish Civil War but the Finns perfected them against the Russians

Yeah, I was more meaning the name. It is very doubtful they were called Molotov Cocktails in the Spanish Civil War.

Indeed and generally still are. I have to say that I am surprised that they were only first used in the Spanish Civil War. Not sure I believe that.
