Utter ****e again, 5heres no way we're gonna make the play offs. Been turd for so long now, I just don't see a decent performance coming, we've lost to teams who have been struggling big time and not been able to score. Lo and behold we rock up and hand them 3 points with pathetic displays. If I was Amos and Thomas I'd be knocking on the managers door asking him if he was actually watching us play ! Seriously it's just a waste of what could've been a great season, Warburton's motivational skills need to be brought into question, cos I saw little desire shown out there today. Depressing

We had two on target - assume it was Adomah in the first half and Gray in the second. Both half chances. I agree with you though, not good enough today. Only two positives were Jimmy Dunne and seeing Sam McCallum back.

FFS Rangers! Gutted stuck in a pub full of egg chasers and heard they scored late in game. Why is it this season every time we can go 2nd we blow it?
    Gutted.

It's ****ing clueless, he's lost the plot and has cracked under the pressure. He's not the man to take us to the next level. Whenever Wilder becomes available again we need to go all out to get him but I won't hold my breath

Blackburn had more desire, outplayed us for long periods and but for pathetic finishing would have won by 3 or 4. Our day was summed up by a passing movement that must have been at least 40 passes that went all over the pitch but finished just outside our box by giving it away with an aimless boot. There's absolutely no cutting edge to our play. We certainly look tired and but for some desperate defending lack any purpose. Play-offs may be optimistic now...

Only watched the first half hour then out for lunch.
They were all over us for that 30 mins.
Perhaps noteworthy that commentator said Blackburn have youngest squad in the division. It showed!
Wasn't expecting to win this - we have a terrible record there. More annoyed about Peterborough, Barnsley, Millwall etc.

For weeks now we just look static in possession.

Blackburn were running into space and making options all the time. Whether it's age or tiredness it's no real excuse for not being able to do the basics.

We're totally shot at the moment.

    Out fought.
    Out thought.
Out played for much of the game.

Some really poor performances, most notably Adomah who's display was almost comical.
Time to rest him now McCallum is back and play Moses on the right.

Willock was completely invisible, which is totally the fault of Warburton. Anyone still think this new formation is worth persevering with?
We looked totally toothless up front. Willock had no idea how to play in that position.
Not his fault, all down to Warburton.

The most annoying thing is that they were so low on confidence in front of goal that, had Marshall not thrown one in for them, we may have fluked an undeserved point. I'm 60, with ****ing covid and I would have kept that out ffs!

Johansen was poor, as was Dickie.
Chair flattered to deceive as he often does.
I thought Moses, Dunne and Hendrick played ok.
Field was a little below his very high standards of late.

Time now for Warburton to show he can coach us through this.
Destroying Willock's confidence wasn't a great idea Mark!

Does anyone know what the game plan or tactics were meant to be? For the first half an hour it seemed to be sit back let them have the ball and don't try and get into their half of the pitch. Dreadful. I think the manager and players have bottled it. A chance to go second and there was no desire or an attempt to go for it?

Some surprise results today that did go our way.
Losses for ‘boro (against Barnsley! Who looses to a bottom 3 team when your right up the league? Oh hold on :emoticon-0138-think)
Sheff Utd. losing to ‘wall at the den (really! Oh hold on :emoticon-0138-think).

The Florists and Uddersfield gaining position now. It’s anyones to stake a place tbh.

MW needs to get this team back on track very quickly and into winning ways or we will definitely blow a fantastic opportunity.

Think Field was restrained because of the early booking. Think he should’ve taken Chair off instead of Willock.

True! However when Gray came on we looked for balls over the top which Gray should have buried on two separate occasions, however when Chair and Willock made exactly the same run, we played a sidewards pass.

Johansen's ball winning and subsequent passing set up some of our best moves. Think Field was a bit below his best partly due that early yellow which meant he had to be extra careful. To be fair to Marshall he also made some very good saves.

I think we need to play with a striker and to do that he'll need to leave out a midfielder which based on the last 2 games would have to be Chair for me. Field Hendrick and Johansen look good together to me and I think they should be kept together in the midfield. Hopefully a week before the next game will help us. Other teams seem to manage the very tight schedule better than us maybe because they play a less elaborate style. I feel we need to be at our very best rested and well prepared to play at our best. We tend to fall off a bigger cliff if we arent quite there, than many of the other Clubs even the ones at the bottom of the League.

I apologise to whoever posted last week stating it was really a false nine, Willock was playing there as this was true, Willock was playing as the striker. No false nine Willock played there. Shame cos I thought it could work but we haven't actually tried it! Chair was shocking today, I still don't think I have ever seen us score at Blackburn, and I am 51!

They weren't half chances both 1 on 1 with poor decision making, both should have scored. Gray needs sending back to Watford zero confidence

Our form is nothing short of shocking. Yes the championship is tough, yes anyone can just about beat anyone, but its the manner of the defeats and even draws that are starting to piss me off. I recall our possesion stats and goal scoring for much of the season to have been excellent. Now we cant even retain possesion and never actually look like scoring! Lets get back to the team and set up that got us into the play off position in the first place. I still for the life of me cant understand the necessity of signing Hendrick. Hes a decent player but we have an abundance of decent midfielders. Field , Dozzell, Amos, Johanson, Ball.

To be honest mate, I will be surprised if u can supply these stats? We have won a lot of games without outplaying teams. Look at the Reading stats for example, we won 4-0 but if they could convert chances it would have been a different ball game. I love the fact, that on a very limited budget we are in the play off position, and have been almost all season, playing brilliant football at times, and sneaking results in the majority. Today was poor but actually we had 2 brilliant chances at 0-0 to score, we win 1-0 and everyone would be going crazy about what an amazing result. Keep it real everyone, and maybe just maybe ee will still be in play offs after 46 games. As a side note Barnsley beat Boro 3-1, and Millwall beat Sheff Utd
