It's one of those unfortunate circumstances where common sense says the ref should turn a blind eye but the rules don't allow it.
Please explain why it is a caution-able offends then. On par with what others are given out for My only football conspiracy theory is that sponsors pay a lot of money to appear on the shirt and notably want to be shown when a player is celebrating a goal. The conspiracy part is of course that they have the influence to make the rules be that way I am fond of that conspiracy theory and am not aware of any compelling reason why a player should be booked for taking his shirt off If you can provide and answer - either a suggestion or the exact reason then I will be delighted and can put my conspiracy theory to bed forever.
Several reasons. Timewasting, removing your shirt to reveal a political, religious or offensive message, it can also be offensive to some cultures.
I don't think there's a particular stated reason officially. Funnily, there was a player who removed his shirt after scoring, only to surprisingly reveal he was wearing a second - exactly the same - shirt underneath. He was still booked. please log in to view this image
Now that you mention the first I seem to recall an incident where a player couldn’t get his shirt back on. Or maybe threw it in the crowd and didn’t get it back. Perhaps both have happened
The latter has definitely happened. Who was the Toon player who did it and then started kicking the hoardings?
I'm imagining shocked faces - examining the treasure map and realising the buried warchest's location is in Rotherham.
Another horrible weekend for Brentford (Pretty bad for Leeds too, and presumably Everton later. But at least they both had tough fixtures - not a home game against someone below them.)
With nothing left to play for, Brighton have well and truly gone on their summer holidays early. Three consecutive defeats, at an aggregate of 0-7. And I can easily see them losing all four of their matches in March, given who they play. There is the concern that it'll happen to us at some point - and it would be understandable - but hopefully not for a while yet.
Perhaps but, I don't think Ralph is going to let it; his clock is both ticking and making up for lost time. He's two years left and he will want to make the strongest case to be backed in the summer.
Haven’t Brighton switched to a back 4 rather than a back 3/5 since the sale of Burn + injuries ? Perhaps that is the issue. Maybe the can’t bomb their full backs up as much when in a back 4? Pretty sure both are wing backs first and full backs second
