Ffs. Was hoping they'd put some pressure on the #peasants today by getting something but nah, ain't happening
There are at least four other teams I'd rather were relegated than Norwich. Thanks for taking the time to write a positive comment, doesn't happen very often
Just been watching the discussion about Southampton taking 'refuelling' breaks from about 60 minutes into each game. One of their players sits down, gets the physios on with energy gels dished out to the whole team and then up he gets and off they go. It's happening every game. Is it cheating or a legitimate tactic?
Unless they are fined or stopped coming on its a completely legitimate tactic. Best thing to happen is next time a player does does and they try it then ref ref auto books each player taking stuff on and the player faking injury is not let back on for 10mins
The odd thing is that there doesn't seem to be any faking injury as in rolling around or holding fake injured body parts. Watching several videos, there's just a sit down by a random player (maybe predetermined) who hasn't been involved in a tackle or any close contact whatsoever. Always just after 60 minutes, so it's looking like there's a signal from the bench involved. The questions being asked are - are referees aware it's happening and if they do become aware, should they ignore the players sitting down and let play just carry on?
Should play on until ball goes dead. Once it’s dead, player can go off and get treatment and play continue. Anyone leaving the field of play in that time gets a yellow. Any member of staff entertain pitch is sent off.
Nah... I don't mind Newcastle. We'd miss the derby and beating Leicester means i can wind me mother's partner up
Can't defend. Even with their best defence playing they still couldn't defend last year either. Similar story to Sheff U previously. Basically outran everyone in the Championship without actually being that good, buoyed by excitement in their 1st season in the PL without actually being that good. 2nd season everyone has had a chance to see them play, know how to beat them, no longer able to outrun teams as everyone else is as fit or fitter and the small squads start to suffer with injuries.
