President of Ukraine just on the news asking for anyone to help, said if anyone goes over they'll get a gun to fight.
I was really expecting to get up this morning and see the City had been taken, I can only assume they must be kicking some serious shhite out of that Russian arse. Not sure why I'm surprised though, these are the sort of mistakes we see the other super power America often make, never underestimate the resilence of people fighting for their country. They might have the big weapons, but they don't often have the will and passion to fight.
Poland = all Ukrainians are welcome, no passports no documents. UK = we lit up some buildings in yellow and blue Levels
In fairness, Poland is going to be the first country they come to. You don't then wing it all the way across to here as an escape, although absolutely no problem in aiding them in whatever other way we can, much like we did with people escaping Afghanistan. Preferably woman and children though, any Ukranian men, need to return if they are able bodied enough to fight.
It takes them days to make journeys like that, and a lot of them come from countries they can't return to. The Ukraine is different, the people might choose not to be too far from the people they left behind, you seem to be failing to use any logic or real life scenario in the questions you are asking. It's a bit like the UK, if France offered me a safe haven, why would I then ask to go to Germany, other than for reason of preference or family connections.
Nah its just you said that peeps wouldn't cross Europe to get here, when clearly they do, and they're not even European, Afghanistan to Dover... that's a phat slap to get here right? Jus sayin
I meant Ukranains will not cross Europe to come to the UK, by means of walking. Why would they, I'm currently watching Ukranian women and children making petrol bombs on tv, and Ukranian men queuing to sign up to fight and be given a weapon. Has any one refused any Ukranians access to the UK, not to my knowledge, so you are trying to invent a situation that don't exist. Yes Poland is giving them refugee status, but as I clearly mentioned, that would be one of the first routes to go. You then tried to cloud the situtation with refugee's that do cross Europe and come across the channel to the UK, these are two completely different scenarios.
It’s quite an image though. Ukraine bars men between 18-60 from leaving but the boats crossing the channel are exclusively Afghani or Syrian men of fighting age with not a woman or child in sight.
Fair enough. I do accept the UK government should offer refugee status, so if that was your point, then yeah I get it. My point was merely it's not a natural route, as I assume all commercial flights out of the Ukraine are suspended.
