I didnt want to go that far, but it crossed my mind. I hope, and am sure he is, much more upbeat on the training ground.
He was looking a lot happier afterwards please log in to view this image - or was that just the sun in his eyes
Gone for an away win as it would just be the most Sunderland thing I honestly don't know why given current form, but think we may actually put in a performance tomorrow Before anyone asks I've only had 2 smallish glasses of red wine so can't blame the drink Come on
Heard a rumour about Flanagan today... Apparently he was pissed off LJ was sacked and asked to leave?
That wouldn’t surprise me but what does it matter? Sacking LJ was the correct decision. Getting rid of Flanagan was fine too IF we bothered replacing him.
That might turn out to be true by the end of the season, although from what I can gather you think we're buggered anyway, but I don't think it's a statement you can make with any authority. Allegedly the players hated him but there's been zero evidence of that on the pitch. We've not exactly done well since getting rid. Maybe if we'd kept him and listened to his opinions about transfers we'd have more points on the board.
We’d just been battered 6-0 away from home against a side who were mid table at the time. Johnson was done here, there was no way back after that embarrassment.
I think he knew before the game he was gone and it had an effect on the result. We were third when he got sacked, now we're sixth. Are we better off in your opinion?
Definitely not, we look an absolute mess. It’s early days for Neil but he hasn’t impressed so far, It’s just hard to believe how much our season has changed and we’re in a right battle for a play-off place. Sick.
No problem with what he said there. No point in making a rousing speech that isn’t true or he’d sound like Boris Johnson. The players need to get their heads down and focus . Mind you, I’m one if the few who didn’t have an issue with what Moyes said- at the time he said it we had a minimal squad and Short was tightening the purse strings while those around him spent more than ever. If club decision makers leave managers with compromised options it’s right that managers can say it.
Conte at the Spuds is interesting atm. He is having tantrums about the squad not being good enough. Levy is a twat so its going to be fun going forward with them. As for out present predicament... this DoF is useless our squad is barely adequate. I wonder who will score for Wigan today... ant suggestions?
