It doesn't matter what is being supplied. Taking anything by road takes more time than by aircraft. More time means more things can go wrong like the Russians intercepting it or just attacking it. If the airports are all in tact and in Ukranian hands then it is obviously much easier to do it by air.

Like I said, I saw one of the airports being attacked which leafs me to believe that it wasn't the only one. You would think the Russians are smart enough to either destroy or take control of the airports, it is generally one of the first things to happen in most wars.

 

They have only attacked the east side of the Ukrainian, the country is the size of France, so they will struggle with the man power they have
