Get me my season ticket and I'll walk to Russia and slap what's remaining of Putins hair off his head
We've got both the media and politicians that we deserve. We dismissed media that said anything we disagreed with as biased and that created a market for stations and publications that only gave one side of the argument. We delete people on social media that we disagree with and see more and more content that we agree with so that we never get challenged on what we think. We live in echo chambers. We expect politicians to be polished and media savvy and slaughter them when they aren't. We get caught up in single issue politics and ignore what else that brings with it because they don't govern single issue worlds. We ignore facts and fall for soundbites and slogans. Because of that we end up with celebrity leaders instead of capable leaders. We allow politicians to erode democracy and parliamentary processes if it gets us what we want, and criticise those standing up for those processes as anti-democratic because it delays us getting what we want. As much as we criticise the state of politicians, we should spend more time criticising the ugly ****er staring back at us in the mirror.
Anybody, who says they want to be a politician should automatically be banned from being a politician. In fact they should be tied to a ****ing rock and dropped in the deepest part of the ocean.
I think individually mine could be a half decent politician if he grew a bigger set of bollocks and cut the electioneering at budget time and followed his convictions. I dislike the party he is part of, but Rishi Sunak is a reasonable MP. If we want better then we need to change the way we act towards them and stop falling for soundbites and hold them all to account more.
As difficult as it is for us to understand and accept it's all our fault. If only we never stopped the Romans and they could have continued world domination nobody would have been any the wiser
What’s Ambramovic’s family got to do with all this again! The pointless fighting and death has to stop. It’s not going to fix anything. There are only two outcomes in this. And both end in tears. A nuke is dropped and everyone goes woah! Or a bullet in Putins head. Either way one or the other will happen.
It's not pointless it's about power and Russia being fed up playing to the tune of the west. The bully is actually the west. Putins psychotic enough to challenge it by whatever means. If he succeeds in reforming the USSR and works with China we're all ****ed.
yep. It’s dangerous to try to mix issues up with whatabbouterry. It’s irrelevant what other nations are perceived to have done. The cold hard facts are that a murderous boss eyed dwarf dictator has invaded another country without provocation and the whole world says it wrong.
Knew Ukraine would put up a fight, but theyre doing better than I expected. Russia wishes they were actually as strong they think.
Its interesting that a few people on here are saying that Ukraine have brought this on themselves by pushing to join NATO. If all Putin was after was a lifelong declaration not to join Nato why didn't he offer to return Crimea and stop supporting the two areas fighting for independence in eastern Ukraine in exchange for that. I suspect Ukraine might have gone for that. Its pretty hard though to expect them not to seek the comfort of Nato when their bigger neighbour is annexing their territory and supporting insurgents.
