Just got back. Very solid and professional win. Norwich are utter turd though. Going down without a whimper based on that performance. Time to really take notice of Spurs and Wolves.

Don't think we played particularly well and we moved the ball far too slowly for my liking (first half especially). Deserved winners though against an awful Norwich side, and what a hit by Oriol just as nerves were starting to build.

Nipper enjoyed himself too which is the main thing, though he can't understand why he can't come to Villa next week with me lol.

 

Maybe, maybe not but there's no need to look down any more, time to look up the table. There's plenty of points up for grabs. On the 1st Jan we were 13th with 21 points, 10 points off the bottom 3 and 12 points behind Spurs in 6th. 7 games later and we're 4 points behind Spurs, 7 off 6th and 15 off the bottom 3.

 

I also have to say I had a chuckle at the Northam singing "Putin, Putin, you're a ****".

Tonight's result combined with Wolves losing last night must give Ralph a chance at MOTM. It will probably go to Klopp though.

I said it last weekend and I will say it again. There are only two teams playing better football, that is City and Scousers, someone wisely questioned Wolves, but the Arse took care of that. This is exciting times. Enjoy all of you Saints fans. A top six finish or a cup final is possible. We do not look like losing a game at the moment

 

Sorry, has any Ralph lovers bated Lincoln lately, or is he one of us now!

 

A key plus tonight was no injuries or red cards. Now we've got a nice gap between now and Wednesday and we go again.

Just got in. Slightly surprised by the comments on Solent (and here) that we were not as good, we made hard work of it, etc. I thought we easily maintained the level we've seen these last few games. The big difference was Norwich played a very defensive game and deflected a lot of our shots for corners. This was a game that we would not have won, and would probably have lost, based on our 2021 form. Our 2022 form is both impressive in our results and exciting to watch. 12 corners and 27 shots on goal tell you how we dominated this game. But Norwich preferred to defend well rather than play football. McClean was the only Norwich player who looked Premier League material. Just.
