Yes, he knows Doyle needs a rest but I bet he starts tomorrow, I think he has looked at Arby and thought 'no chance is he coming in'. Same a Cirkin. He hasn't got a choice but to play them unfortunately. And that's down to Speakman btw.

Well, I have a load, so wouldn't be a big miss. It would be so Sunderland to go and beat Wigan.

He is in a tough place and has to strike the right balance in the media. There is such a thing as being too honest, or too transparent in football. Johnson was guilty at times of being too postive, Neil has to be careful of going too far the other way, at least IMO.

My honest opinion is some of those answers are poor. The one about ONiens situation was at best missing the point. To turn it into himself not having social media accounts was bizarre to say the least. The answer to Stewart Defoe partnership was an insult to our intelligence. To suggest we would think it had worked if we had won the game is laughable and comes across as we cant have a deeper insight than that. Noone could say anything other than they were not in tandem and Defoe looked a long way off. His others answers were ok, but hardly encouraging. Got to say he has done more to worry me than encourage me in his first couple of weeks. I really hope in another couple of weeks he has me on board. I hate digging out managers because it absolves everyone else of blame, so come on Alex please be the one.

Agreed Smug. The head is a Shyte organ. It doesn't cope with beer very well and makes us make daft decisions. Long live my heart. And FTM

Must admit I am underwhelmed too by his start. Actions speak louder than words of course but the spectre of Aparkysaurus is looming. <laugh>

Alex Neil's demeanor reminds me of David Moyes " we're in a relegation battle" speech.

Depressing to listen to and a worry if I'm honest.

    Lighten up man
