    I had forgotten the Kevin Moore goal, probably because I was away at the time, but also because I usually associate the game with the hat trick by Le Tiss.

    Feels strange that we’re worried about a football match when war is breaking out in Europe. (That’s not a dig at anyone, just puts it in perspective).

    The footballing upshot of this is that we can’t chant “Red Army” right now.

    Davis suffered a little from the system we played back then. We had a 3 in midfield with 2 DMCs and one attacking one. However good he was he wasn’t quite the dynamic creator we wanted in that role. One DMC and 2 attackers he’d have been great. He’d also fit in well in our current format I’d say
