The problem with Belarus is they have allowed themselves to be Putin’s bitch. As you point out, they’ve already allowed Russia to launch attacks from their soil so they are implicated in the aggression. It wouldn’t be a huge leap for Putin to order the Lap dog Belarusian President to order his troops into Ukraine, if Russian forces can’t meet their objectives.
Good on her, nowt better than defiant people and soldiers that don't really want to be there, heart warming stories. Much like the 80 year old man that turned up to fight for the Ukranian army - no way to verify the latter was true, but if it was, then Putin has seriously underestimated the people of the Ukraine. The media said orignally that Kyiv would have fallen in a day, now they are saying four days, Putin is going to have a massive bloodshed on his hands.
There are plenty of indications already, that the Russo people don’t want this war any more than the Ukrainians do. 100 years ago, Tsar Nicolas III led his army into an unpopular war, and sealed his own fate by doing so. Perhaps history will repeat itself now.
There’s also images circulating of two Russian soldiers captured by Ukrainian forces. One was apparently born in 2002. Once again, boys doing the fighting and old men making the decisions.
It's very real mate, 18,000 machine guns handed out to civi's. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-europe-60517447 https://www.theghanareport.com/ukraine-says-it-hands-out-18000-machine-guns-to-kyiv-volunteers/
I saw one where a tank changed it's direction slightly and went over the top of the car. It was only a short clip of video, so couldn't work out why the tank did that.
Ironic that you should say that, as Bill Murray invented the phrase in Ghostbusters. Whatever you do, don't think of a giant marshmallow man when you think of Putin!
And it will just give Russia an excuse to shoot civilians by arguing they’re ‘insurgents’. Same thing the US did to Iraqi civilians they killed because of the Fedayeen.
Not going so well for Putins boys, hope he can explain this to their mothers... https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...00-russian-soldiers-killed-so-far-2022-02-25/
Run Vlad Run ! Russia will no longer be allowed to participate in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, the European Broadcasting Union has said. The EBU, which produces the event, said Russia's inclusion could bring the competition into disrepute "in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine". Russia launched an attack on its neighbour Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday. Western governments have ramped up international sanctions in response. State broadcasters from countries including Iceland, Finland, Norway and the Netherlands had called for Russia to be banned from the contest.
