Good. I cannot wait to see his face when he reads my solution to the problem (I suspect I will be getting a large ccnsignment of tea in the post) .
Interesting how De Pfeffel didn't give his address from the briefing room and instead did so sat behind the desk I sat behind at primary school Of course, I'm sure this isn't because somebody might remember who paid for the briefing room...
This is Sofya Rusova , she is the co-chair of Russia's trade union of journalists and a very brave woman, her sign says " War with Ukraine is Russia's disgrace "
What was that about not doing gesture politics? please log in to view this image I'm sure Putin's quaking in his shoes...
Agree with part of this, but not sure how you can say NATO is an anachronism? Do you mean since the end of the Cold War? I would have thought that the current situation underlines the need for NATO. Russia is not going to do this to a NATO member - which is why several former members of the Warsaw Pact are now in NATO. They'd rather not be a client state of Russia!
Watching the news today it struck me that our government are in the process of passing laws that make the anti war protests in Russia a criminal act in the UK
Is it a coincidence that Rees Moggs company sold their shares in a Russian bank weeks ago , no inside trading going on here, oh no
Funny how the BBC neglected to mention that when showing footage of protesters in Moscow getting bundled into police vans...
As a nation we seem to be stumbling onwards oblivious to what is happening to us and happening around us
Exactly! The UK is sleepwalking into an Authoritarian State with less than a murmur from the population. It will soon be too late...
Nominative determinism once again debunked... Also, on the subject of informing, educating, and entertaining...
Yes. "I would have thought that the current situation underlines the need for NATO." Nope. Nations are free to enter into military treaties as they see fit. For Ukraine to have such treaties with the USA and UK alone is close to 100% of the protection of current NATO.
Well we'll have to agree to disagree on that. I strongly suspect that the Baltic States are currently very happy to be members of NATO. Incidentally, if Liz Truss is reading, the Baltic States are three countries that have a coastline on the Baltic Sea. Oh, and the Baltic Sea is the one that isn't the Black Sea. (Technically the Kaliningrad exclave is also a Baltic State, but that's a bit technical for Liz.)
