The Competition ceased to have any value in it until the big money got involved, much like the old Div 1 in Nigelgrad to Prem League when the big clubs started to take it seriously.

FS Forest , Red Star and Villa have won the defunct cup, much like Portsmouth, Huddersfield and Preston winning the old Div 1 in England… they can’t brag about it out of sheer embarrassment as the tournament had no kudos back then.

Celebrating winning a valueless cup 60 years ago, beating teams that no longer exist is major riddy material.
